L'Orangerie sur Montargis

Everything was excellent, from the appetizer to the dessert.

A musical evening with my husband. The food was as delicious as ever, and the service was top-notch. Plus, a little something extra for my birthday. I go back regularly. A great place to spend a pleasant evening.

Small restaurant with a small dining room and lots of tables. We were a bit cramped, not very intimate, and if a neighbor had a particularly loud conversation... The noise level wasn't exactly conducive to romance. (Note: the noise level wasn't due to the live music that evening!) Otherwise, even though it's small, the dining room is welcoming. As is the staff. The cuisine: very classic but very well executed, with no cooking errors and authentic flavors. I had a pleasant time with the tasting menu and its well-chosen wine pairings. Excellent value for money.

The food was excellent; everything was truly delicious. The welcome and service were also very friendly. However, we were disappointed when it came time to pay: the waiter didn't charge us for the set menu and charged us for everything à la carte, even though a sign outside the restaurant clearly indicates that a set menu is available. When we pointed this out to him, his reaction was unpleasant. It's a shame, because we really enjoy eating at this establishment. We understand that mistakes can happen, but we believe that billing should be correct and transparent. We hope this point can be addressed, as we would like to continue coming back with the same pleasure.

Warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were very pleasant. If you're looking to enjoy a pleasant meal and delicious food, I highly recommend it. Enjoy your meal!

Good food and a light summer menu. The only downside is the really excessive price of wines by the glass.

A wonderful discovery at L'Orangerie! Exquisite cuisine, a true chef's touch: each dish is meticulously prepared and beautifully presented. We started with the salmon gravra as a starter: fresh, tangy, and perfectly balanced, as well as a mille-feuille of candied eggplant—a delight! For the main course, the Charolais beef fillet with its creamy sauce was melt-in-your-mouth tender, accompanied by crisp vegetables and a delicious gratin. The other course, a sea bass fillet with crispy skin in a rich and fragrant langoustine bisque, was equally successful. And for dessert, the crispy almond mille-feuille and the chilled strawberry and white peach soup: the perfect ending. 💖 We were lucky enough to experience a live music evening with a piano and double bass duo. A warm and elegant jazz atmosphere that complemented the dinner without ever overpowering it—a real bonus, transforming the meal into a truly special occasion. ✨ The setting is refined and cozy, with beautiful tables near the large windows and very soft lighting in the evening. The service is attentive, friendly, and offers excellent advice, especially on the wines. 🍷 A great place to eat in Montargis. We'll definitely be back! ⭐️
