18/08/2026: This was our first time at this restaurant. The setting was pleasant, the overall tasting menu quite good, and the service provided by a young waiter was simple but very much appreciated. However, with an outside temperature of 37/38°C, and the French doors left open throughout the meal to let in the hot air, as there is no air conditioning; not even a fan to provide some ventilation, which was undoubtedly also hot. As a result, we didn't fully appreciate our meal as we surely should have. This is very regrettable.
06/08/2026: A bad first impression at the meeting to finalize the meal. We were seated at the far end of the bar and our reservation was noted on a sticky note. The welcome was cold and without a smile. Despite the intense heat, there was no air conditioning or fan. It was a family meal – 28 people, including a young baby. What a shame, we won't be returning.

20/10/2025: Venus, a group of 6, for a birthday celebration on Sunday, October 19th... we were unfortunately very disappointed compared to our first experience in February 2025. The vegetarian pizza... was more like a cheese pizza!
The other 5 people ordered meat and fries.
But 4 of them had fatty, sinewy meat.
The menu options are also very limited... lots of burgers.

Hotel Le Champalud Restaurant

13/06/2026: The hotel and room look great online. Don’t be fooled. The toilet roll holder was a complete joke, didn’t work, no tea or coffee or water in the room, and neither manager or caretaker were bothered to explain how this could be a 3 star hotel without basics like that. No tissues in the room either. Lift sounds scary going up and down. For the price definitely not worth it.
Very quiet after 5 pm nothing is open either. And the restaurant connected to the hotel was also closed.
Could be a great Location and hotel. We heard on our way out the hotel is changing hands and that could be the problem, but not sure I’d want to chance it again.
