17/09/2026: This is the second time I've come and I'm disappointed; I won't be back. The first time was for a hot drink. It was good, but overpriced for the portion size. The café looked nice, so I decided to try my luck again, this time with food. I ordered a carrot cake. The man cut a TINY slice right in front of me for €4.50! I pointed this out to the waiter, telling him that considering the price, the slice was really stingy. Completely embarrassed, he didn't say anything, didn't apologize, and didn't offer to cut it again. No gesture whatsoever. I'm used to going to coffee shops; the price doesn't surprise me, it's the size of the slice that's outrageous! (See photo).

21/09/2026: Superb place, charming old-fashioned decor. The draft beers are excellent. The terrace offers a magnificent view of the Loire. The staff are very friendly. I highly recommend it.

17/09/2026: Our Loire à Vélo cycling trip led us by chance to La Route du Sel. We received a very warm welcome, enjoyed simple cuisine, a charcuterie and cheese board, all made with quality products, and the homemade ice cream was delicious. We happily recommend this place.
