Crêperie discovered thanks to the recommendation of Delphine our landlady.
During our short stay in Pontorson, we went there twice...
The boss (who does everything since it's just him) is discreet but very helpful and very kind.
It is essential to book and do not hesitate to call back if no one picks up...
To be recommended without hesitation to people who appreciate good pancakes and crepes, prepared and served simply and authentically.
My favorite: andouille de Guéméné mustard sauce.
Very good value for money.

10/09/2024: On vacation in a nearby gîte, one evening a craving for pancakes!
We set our sights on Le Grillon who accepted us with our dog.
Very friendly welcome!
Small table for 2 in a corner where our dog didn't bother!
We were immediately taken care of for an aperitif, a well-filled crepe and a dessert to finish the meal!
All this with a smile 😃
A very nice place where you shouldn't miss a stop!

10/09/2024: A small, warm restaurant, pleasant and smiling staff, the pancakes are excellent, the homemade fries are a treat, quality value for money, we are more than happy not to change anything 😉

22/08/2024: Nous avons fait 1 nuit avec petit déjeuner et le restaurant le soir.personnel très agréable à la réception et au restaurant.
Hotel un peu vieillot et pas très bien insonorisé mais calme la nuit. Nous avons mangé correctement rien d’exceptionnel surtout le poisson mais le personnel est aux petits soins.
Magnifique vue sur le mont saint Michel de la terrasse, pendant le repas du soir et le petit déjeuner. Nous sommes ravie de notre expérience dans cet hôtel…

We took the junior suite •201 at €248 per night.
A panoramic view of Mont Saint Michel with a stunning sunset and waking up to the sound of seagulls.
It’s a shame that the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities does not live up to expectations given the price.
Plus a fruit salad prepared a little cooked the day before.
Lack of freshness!

17/09/2024: Great little hotel close to Mt. Saint Michel.
We stayed for one night and walked to the Mont in the morning.
Staff was very friendly and recommended us a route and when we had to leave to see the tide roll in.
We opted for the 9€ breakfast and it was definitely worth that price. Great croissants and fresh bread.
There is a public footpath across a sheep pasture which will take you right up the bridge. We needed about an hour to walk from the hotel to Mt St Michel. There are some stunning views along the way so I would recommend taking this route.
Overall, this is the perfect location to stay if you want to visit Mont Saint Michel.
11/09/2024: Very close to the famous photo spot and in the morning you can see how the shepherd dog drives the sheep into the field.

22/08/2024: The best thing is the treatment of the owner, who I thought takes care of everything herself. He is very kind.
But the place is very small, especially the entrance (hard to find). It has a small counter and a very small room with only 6-8 tables.
The pizzas are not bad but they have too much seasoning (a lot of Mozzarella) and fat. I ordered one with anchovies, which were excessively salty. We had a hard time digesting that night.
The Chat-Malo beer is very delicious.
In short, a good place to dine but too small.

22/08/2024: Ci sediamo alle 14 salutando ed il proprietario da dietro il bancone fa finta di non vederci.inizia a servire in esterno ignorandoci(probabilmente perché eravamo gli unici turisti.)al mio terzo "buongiorno"ignorato si gira come una furia urlando che ci avrebbe servito dopo tutti gli altri che era inutile continuate a dire buongiorno anche se non ci rispondeva.gli ho risposto malamente che un buongiorno a volte è solo un buongiorno e ce ne siamo andati,ci ha apostrofato malamente mentre persino i suoi clienti abituali erano contriti.....che delusione....

24/08/2024: The food was excellent particularly the starter of oysters , prawns and escargot .
The moules were great too . It is not expensive and a great menu.Definitely worth a visit if staying in/ near the town as there are limited restaurants. Only negative service was slow as only one waitress but worth the wait .
10/08/2024: Very good quality price. Room of a decent size. Housekeeping needs to be reviewed, especially in the bathroom, it's not the best. Lots of dust especially in the bathroom and cotton buds in the trash. Dirty doors at the contact point. Not too much choice for breakfast. Lots of noise late at night. And no parking as indicated on the ad.

07/08/2024: Well located restaurant on the motorway, lots of parking spaces available in front of the door. When we visited, most of the order terminals were not working and it was very busy, but the employees tried very hard to take the orders quickly. Some of the staff speak English, which can be an advantage.
I found it unfortunate that, given the large number of visitors, there are only three toilet cubicles available, so you have to wait in line longer than usual.
The outdoor area offers children the opportunity to get some exercise after a car ride.
05/08/2024: Food was perfect, service was perfect and atmosphere was cozy. In short, this is the best McDonald's I've been to in a long time. The plastic cups and containers look nice and there are also many choices on the menu that some places don't have. A really top restaurant.

21/08/2024: Not enough tables outside! It's almost the only restaurant before the mountain and there are 4 tables outside and 5 inside. So people eat standing up. It's a shame.

15/08/2024: We stayed one night, paying the price of a double room with its own bathroom. In the reservation it is established that the bathroom has all the services: including towels and shower supplies.
We leave without being able to shower because there are no towels.
Furthermore, the stairs are very inaccessible and the entrance to the "hotel", so to speak, is scary.
10/08/2024: We took possession of the accommodation following the instructions left by the host (Hotel Le XIV) to find a room whose door was open, from which a strong smell of urine was escaping (from an old shower cubicle). and who offered dirty pillowcases. The ceiling light did not work (neither did the one in the shared toilets) and there were only 3 sockets for the room (one high up taken by the television, one occupied by the only light (bedside) and another above the sink). No wifi either.
We tried to contact the landlord without success, and we had to resort to cleaning and airing the room. Not having access to clean bedding, we slept without cushions and on our towels so as not to be in contact with the sheets which we did not trust.
We were hoping that the sheet issue would be resolved when we returned on the second day (we had tried to contact them) but no, nothing changed.
No instructions for returning the keys, and we even had to help foreign guests settle in because no one was there during the stay to welcome them and their messages were all in French.
This is a real shame and a lack of professionalism. I don't understand how you can work with an establishment that has this kind of negative reviews on Google and on your site. Cheap rooms should not justify such treatment of guests.
