The owner takes the time to passionately explain the dishes and offers excellent wine pairing recommendations. It's also a wonderful introduction to Portuguese cuisine: the dishes are flavorful and generous. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the smiles on the customers' faces speak volumes about the pleasure of sharing this experience. A truly excellent place to enjoy a convivial and delicious meal.

30/03/2026: Thank you so much for a truly eye-opening experience with this foray into Tunisian cuisine. A charming little restaurant with warm and welcoming owners. The place has a bit of a snack bar feel, but calling it a snack bar would be a gross understatement. Everything is freshly cooked and served, and the many tempting vegetarian options make you want to come back again and again. Be warned, though, that the Ojja Merguez is as spicy as it is delicious!

28/03/2026: If you'd like to be transported to the other side of the Mediterranean, I recommend this restaurant. Authentic Tunisian cuisine. Exceptional service. More than reasonable prices. I highly recommend this restaurant. Just remember to make a reservation on Saturdays.

24/03/2026: 17 /02 We ordered online by clicking on the link they have on Google Maps of their other shop. After paying we noticed the address to pick up the food was different from the place on the map. Apparently they have the factory place and a restaurant at the other side of town. We called them immediately to explain, no problem the order could be cancelled and they would refund our CC. We walked to the Factory and ordered the same as we did online and paid yet again. Mentioning the probleem to the person there. She called the other restaurant to help them remember to refund the order. We also emailed, called, whatsapp them, they keep on telling us they’ll issue the refund, but didn’t receive the refund... Today 24/03 still no refund. It’s a bit extreme. But we hope the review will help them remember…

04/03/2026: Having frequented this restaurant for over 20 years, I can confidently say that it serves the best couscous in Strasbourg. The vegetables are cooked to perfection, the sauce is flavorful and perfectly spiced, and for meat lovers, the meat dishes are generously portioned and exceptionally well-prepared (a special mention for the mint meatballs). Takeout is available. However, the decor has aged considerably, and it's a real shame the dining room hasn't received a thorough cleaning. Layers of dust and cobwebs on the decorations detract from the cozy atmosphere. It's a pity; this institution of Middle Eastern cuisine deserves a refresh to showcase its delicious dishes and breathe new life into the place.

25/03/2026: As a regular customer, yesterday when I went to order, I was asked if I was the customer who had ordered by phone, but it wasn't me. I was served in two minutes, whereas there's usually a bit of a wait. I suppose I received the dish of the person who had ordered by phone; I don't know how it was stored, but the fact remains that I got food poisoning. Trust is broken.

16/03/2026: Highly recommended! The staff were very helpful with gluten-free options and made sure our food was prepared carefully. We didn’t dine in because of my little princess daughter, so we took the food home instead. Everything was packed nicely for takeaway and the food was absolutely delicious 🤤. Great service, great care for dietary needs, and amazing taste. We will definitely order again!

28/01/2026: I've known this restaurant for a while now and I've never been disappointed. The staff is welcoming and friendly, the food is truly delicious, and the quality is excellent for a reasonable price. We ordered the royal couscous and merguez sausage, which we thoroughly enjoyed, and finished with a delicious mint tea 🍵 for good digestion. It's always a pleasure to eat there; I highly recommend it 😊

18/01/2026: Hello, As a regular customer since 2017/2018, I highly recommend this restaurant. It's a small, family-run place where the couscous is simply delicious, cooked to perfection, and incredibly flavorful. In short, you get the picture: if you're in Strasbourg and craving couscous, this is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal! The gentleman who runs the restaurant is always very welcoming, and you feel right at home. He even takes the time to chat while still being attentive, and the service is incredibly fast, both in the dining room and the kitchen. I should also mention that the mint tea is absolutely delicious, and with a touch of pine nuts, it has a lovely roasted almond/hazelnut flavor. It's also wonderful 🥰 Thank you to L'Oriental Couscous for existing!
