04/05/2026: Bersot de l’Orient We came for dinner as a party of four after the reopening, and the experience was very disappointing. Note: we were the only ones in the restaurant, which made the service difficult to understand. Despite this, there was a long wait to order, followed by a major coordination problem: two people were served well before the other two, to the point that they had almost finished their plates when the remaining dishes arrived. I ordered a chicken burger (approximately €12.90). Visually acceptable, but clearly not homemade: the chicken patty was of an industrial type, the sauce was bland, and the bun was basic. As a side, we were served small potatoes (not fries), which were burnt and most likely reheated. Sitting next to the kitchen, I distinctly heard the microwave being used, which corresponded to the texture and temperature of the potatoes. When we pointed this out, we were told that it was “not possible.” Result: Most of us didn't eat them. Another problem: When I pointed out that a friend's potatoes were cold, the waitress put her hand directly into my plate to check the temperature, even though my dish wasn't affected. This is a clear breach of hygiene rules. Finally, an insect was found in a glass of soda, and we had to insist on getting a replacement. For the price (around €13 for the burger + ~€3 for the drink), the value for money is poor. Positive points: The place is clean, and the restrooms are spacious and well-maintained. The atmosphere is quite noisy and geared towards a younger crowd, not conducive to a quiet meal. Conclusion: An overall very disappointing experience, with problems in service, food quality, and hygiene. Significant improvements are needed.
