19/02/2026: As a Breton expat living in Toulouse and on a business trip to Nivillac, what a joy to have found this crêperie! A real treat from start to finish.
The welcome is incredibly warm, the decor inviting, you immediately feel at home.
And after having to try a competitor's crêperie (La Sarrasine being closed on Thursdays…), I can say without hesitation: this is truly the best in the area.
The savory buckwheat crêpes are delicious, perfectly crispy just the way I like them. The same goes for the sweet crêpes, rich and perfectly made.
I couldn't indulge in the cider this time because I had to get back to work… but I'll definitely be back!

08/02/2026: A culinary experience worthy of the €52 menu. Beautiful presentation, and the tastes and flavors were of high quality. Disappointment with the wine pairing; a glass costing €9 when a bottle retails for €11 is definitely something to be proud of. Too much eccentricity for my taste. The setting is very pleasant and the decor is lovely.

30/12/2025: Despite forgetting to make a reservation, everything was sorted out with a complimentary aperitif for our table of seven and only a short 15-minute wait. The dishes, especially the mixed grill, were very good, as were the burgers. A very warm welcome; thank you also for their thoughtful touch for my wife's birthday.

Board games and blankets for the terrace in winter.

16/02/2026: We were the first guests of the hotel and restaurant 15 years ago, on Saturday, February 14th. It was a truly delightful evening.
How could we not take the time to commend the staff for their exceptional empathy and attentiveness? We're already looking forward to our next visit, and rest assured we will share this experience with our friends and family by leaving this very positive review.

20/09/2024: Seven of us booked & ate here on a weekday evening & it soon filled up.
It is very impressive as you approach along the quayside & the decor is genial.
We were seated at a long maneuverable table which was useful for some of us.
Lots of friendly staff providing a very quick service.
The Sea Bass with chorizo was delicious, but the (two) white fish dishes need heating properly. All plates were left clean!
Good cafe gourmand.
17/09/2024: We booked at table so expected to be served within a reasonable time of being seated. That wasn't the case. The service was extremely slow even for ordering a drink let alone our food. Which took ages to come out to us. Other diners were also looking for service wondering why the service was practically non existent. It was Sunday evening around 7pm. When our food finally arrived we were so looking forward to it we refrained from eating anything at lunchtime. Our burgers were bone dry (we order medium rare) there was no flavour at all to the meat no charring from the grill it was just smothered in BBQ sauce and chunky quarters of tomatoes. My bun was burnt around the edges so I left that. That meal took around 50 mins to come from the kitchen. Beautiful establishment shame about the dreadful food. Such a disappointing experience. I didn't even take a photo of my food that's how unappetising I it was.

18/08/2024: À FUIR!
Nous avons diné (3 adultes) jeudi 8 aout au restaurant Le Calao. Au moment de payer l´addition, j´ai voulu payer avec ma carte, j´ai saisi le code et la dame qui nous a servi a dit que le paiement avait été refusé. On a donc réuni l´argent en espèce pour payer notre diner, soit 70,5 eur. De retour chez moi après les vacances, j´ai constaté avec surprise que sur mon relevé bancaire la somme de 70,50 euros avait été prélevée. C´est à dire que nous avons payé 2 fois pour le même repas.
J´ai essayé de contacter le restaurant soit par téléphone, soit par message privé sur Facebook, sans résultats, malheureusement.
15/08/2024: Cuisine hyper goûtu du fait maison.
Vraiment excellent.
Rapport qualité prix rien à dire.
Au top du top.
