05/04/2026: We ate at Marrakech one weekend; it was our first time there because it was on a friend's recommendation. First of all, we didn't know it was by reservation. I told the young woman who greeted us that we didn't have a reservation, and it took her 10 minutes to react. She then had to ask the owner for permission to let us in. She seated us near the register, and it literally took 15 minutes for our order to be taken and 30 minutes to be served. I must point out that their couscous was nothing special; it had no flavor, not enough salt, and was incredibly bland. Nothing like real Moroccan or Algerian couscous. And the worst part is that good couscous is eaten with olive oil, and the oil they served us was frying oil, not olive oil. Furthermore, the owner was fawning over all the other customers, and no one ever came to ask if we needed anything. We even had to ask five times for a bottle of water. Frankly, there's no respect for customers who aren't regulars. One last thing: when we finished eating, we went to pay, but the owner didn't pay us at all. The young woman took the money, and she seemed completely lost. It took her at least ten minutes to process our payment—a disaster! While other customers were being served, she was the one who took their payments, wished them a good weekend, told them she'd see them next time, gave them kisses—all that "gesture" for no real reason, just because they were supposedly "regulars." Excuse me, but the owner treats her customers very differently. It's a disgrace!
