02/07/2024: While taking my two black and tan dachshunds for their daily midday walk, I decided to stop by Sain for a quick slice of brioche. I briefly paused a business call to place my order, expecting a simple and pleasant transaction. To my astonishment, an extremely unfriendly woman informed me that I would not be served again if I was on a call. This establishment, in addition to selling bread, seems to believe it has the authority to dictate etiquette for polite society. I am utterly flabbergasted by such unprofessional and frankly insolent behavior. This level of customer service is not only disappointing but also reflective of a broader issue. Furthermore, I cannot help but draw a parallel between the ongoing political instability in France and this extreme behavior. It seems that the turmoil and unrest at the national level have seeped into everyday interactions, leading to an environment where common courtesy is disregarded. The experience left me questioning the values and standards upheld by this bakery and its staff. Was her reaction influenced by the Star of David around my neck? I am increasingly inclined to believe so, which adds an even moreso disturbing layer to the encounter. Such blatant disregard for customer respect and potential underlying prejudice is unacceptable. I am sharing this review in English to ensure that tourists visiting Paris for the first time are aware of this bakery’s behavior and can avoid a similarly unpleasant experience. In a city renowned for its charm and hospitality, such actions are a stark and unwelcome contrast.

06/03/2024: Note that the location of this bakery has shifted from rue Marie et Louise to rue Alibert nearby. The bread actually has flavor! It tastes of the country, freshly-milled grain, and doesn't disappoint!

05/04/2024: Un pur délice gustatif, ma fille de 12 ans a adoré ... Juste MERCI !! c'était un pur bonheur avec une ambiance chaleureuse, une très belle adresse dans Paris prêt du canal St Martin 😍

03/04/2024: En liten restaurang pärla i centrala Paris. Här firade jag min födelsedagsmiddag med familjen . Vi åt oss igenom 5 st smårätter. Samt en desserträtt. Vi delade varje rätt på två st personer. Det var alldeles lagom för oss. Min rekommendation är att boka bord i förväg. Bon appètit!

14/06/2024: Je n'ai pas trouvé le menu très impressionnant ou excitant. Je suis végétarienne et rien ne me sautait forcément aux yeux. Nous avons mangé le guacamole épicé qui était correct, très simple, rien de spécial et absolument pas du tout piquant. Sur recommandation de la serveuse, j'ai pris la quesadilla végé au fromage et champignons. Encore une fois, c'était ok, mais sans goût surprenant ou qui excite les papilles, à part, étrangement, une salade au vinaigre de Xérès sur le côté?? J'ai recouvert ma quesadilla de sauce piquante pour la rendre intéressante. Clairment pas le meilleur mexicain du coin.

02/06/2024: Really good tacos that reminded me of Mexico. Quesadillas were quite good too Really don't know why we ordered the spare ribs since they were just awful. This is the main reason why I doubted between 3 and 4 stars. Place is beautiful and service was fine

17/02/2024: Très bon ! Très gentil. Maki prépares à la demande c’était très bien ! Environnement calme et sympathique. Expérience sympa
