26/08/2024: Beautiful Hotel! Beautiful interior and garden. The rooms are spacious and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The concierge service is amazing! F&B is fantastic. One of our best hotel experiences so far!

10/08/2024: Je n'étais pas revenu au Saint James depuis l'époque de Jean-Marie Amat, dont j'avais gardé des souvenirs très émus (des saveurs inédites, le service toujours parfait et extrêmement discret, des repas parfaitement calibrés dans la progression des mets, les quantités, des conseils de plats et de vins parfaits en fonction des budgets, etc.). Bref, un des meilleurs restaurants de Bordeaux à mon sens : Moyennant un budget certain, l'assurance de passer un moment exactement parfait ! Le cadre est toujours soigné - la vue sur Bordeaux depuis le jardin et la terrasse et le bâtiment - et l'accueil est de qualité. Mais, comment dire ? Nous n'étions plus dans la perfection. (Par exemple, en entrant en tout début de service nous avons cherché l'entrée et avons dû demander notre chemin à une école de cuisine - seule porte ouverte... Pendant le repas, on se retourne et attend le bras en l'air qu'on nous remarque pour avoir du pain... Je ne suis pas bégueule et peux apprécier manger un bon couscous à Saint Michel sur une nappe en plastique, mais à partir d'un certain niveau d'addition, je suis exigeant...) Nous avons donc apprécié une cuisine et une cave fines et de qualité, mais je trouve que le rapport qualité/prix est devenu trop faible : le prix de la prestation m'a paru surdimensionné (à plus de 300 euros par tête pour se faire plaisir, j'ai de grosses exigences, et gustatives et en terme de service, qui n'ont pas été satisfaites...).

20/09/2024: Poziom od lat ten sam - wysoki - odważny wystrój wnętrz - co pewien czas zmieniany - miła obsługa. Przychodzę tu na nadzwyczaj smaczną grasicę, tym razem w sosie ze smardzów, ale chateaubriand w sosie pieprzowym też smakuje wybornie. Flagowe desery suflet i pływające wyspy zwykle jaja zamieniają w cukiernicze złoto.

16/09/2024: I celebrated my birthday there for a "Pizza Party": very pleasant setting (special mention for the little hens who invited themselves to the party), very good pizza, wines and cocktails very popular as well as the succulent cakes from the pastry chef! Same compliments for simply having a nice restaurant!

08/01/2025: Je suis navré de constater que depuis plusieurs mois le qualité,le service,et le respect du client se sont dégradé. Je vais la bas depuis plusieurs années sur place, à emporter et en livraison. Le changement de propriétaire a aussi dégradé considérablement la qualité de ce restaurant jusqu’à me sentire mal à l aise à l intérieur de celui ci.

14/08/2024: 2.5 hours of waiting and still getting nothing. Being pregnant I can't wait... we tried to call with a busy correspondent. I would like to be reimbursed for this order which never arrived... this is the first time we have ordered and indeed the last. I strongly advise against it.

27/06/2025: Edit- came back a year later and it is still amazing. Had the frogs legs, beef bourguignon, crème brûlée and a bottle of broully. Love this place! Sat outside for dinner. Started with some Escargot which was delicious. My main was Bouef Bourguignon which was fantastic! I finished with the Crème Brulé which was perfect. All washed down with some incredible french wines. The atmosphere was great and the service was excellent. Merci.

27/09/2024: Very good salmon sashimi, tender and good quality! The salmon skewers were also tender, very pleasant in the mouth and well stocked Nice place and well located 😊

25/03/2025: Avoid... penne with Mozza sauce to throw away... reheated in the microwave... acidic tomato sauce... Very condescending server! We had to wait 15 minutes for the bread even though we asked for it 3 times... Frozen sea bream fillet with a leek and 4 mushrooms... a hospital meal tray... this place is a nameless scam...

21/03/2025: We ordered steak fries and Cesar Salad . The steak was mediocre. We ordered medium rare it came out almost well done . The sauce was good but you can tell was sitting in the cup for a while . It did have a “rough” surface exposed to air, heat . We had to scrap it away. The only good part of the meal was the bread , butter and the Bordeaux . Cesar Salad was topped with sliced chicken that was dry , you can tell was cooked a while ago. Tip included 100 euros .

13/10/2024: Friendly decor and atmosphere, efficient and smiling service. British breakfast good but a little light in quantity compared to the price (18€). Super cheesecake as beautiful as it is delicious (10€). The pancakes and avocado toast looked very good too.

01/08/2024: The Caesar salad costs €19, is not particularly substantial (around 3 to 4 small pieces of chicken) and the salad leaves tend to be drowned in the sauce. The gourmet coffee is pretty good. Good selection of wine. Nice decoration but in the middle of summer the ceiling fans do nothing to provide some air, it is very hot. In short, too expensive for what it is.

16/07/2024: Very disappointed with the quality of the food served. The chicken in the Caesar salad was dry, tough, brown, absolutely inedible. The friendly waiters were very sorry about this, but I'm perplexed about the quality of the rest of the dishes when I see this type of problem happening. I'm not talking about "a little dry" or "overcooked" meat, but about something left on a shelf for several days in a row outside the fridge. To flee.

04/11/2024: Très bien reçue . Repas excellent. Nous avons bien voir même très bien reçue par le personnel du restaurant. Tous nos plats furent d’excellents qualités. Je me suis moi personnellement régalés !!! Merci à nos 2 serveurs jean Michel et Audrey , service de grande qualité de leur part .. et vraiment d’une gentillesse exceptionnelle à tous les deux … nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !!

31/07/2024: It's a great day out for children ages 3-10 . Older kids would be a bit bored with the rides. Tickets on the door were a whopping €49 per person for a day pass and then IT DIDN'T COVER SOME ACTIVITIES I was scandalised. A variety of restaurants...lots of benches and kiosks for parents to hang out whilst waiting for kids. If you can get reasonable tickets in advance, do it

30/07/2024: The park is very good even if it is a little expensive there are many varied attractions for young and old On the other hand, you have to leave early in the morning because otherwise you have to wait 15 minutes to enter.

23/06/2025: Great restaurant, the food is good, and I recommend their homemade iced tea, which isn't too sweet, perfect. Plus, the prices are really affordable for the area.
