26/07/2026: A must-try restaurant! Don't even bother trying to eat it anywhere else. The wood-fired pizza is a Marseille tradition, a tradition dating back over 50 years. The management is exceptional, and it won't be around much longer. A truly typical Marseille restaurant... the owners are super friendly. I had a wonderful meal tonight...

04/08/2026: We came to eat, and the wait for the aperitifs was already long, and I didn't get what I ordered, but no big deal. Then the gratinated mussels were good, and then came the mussels with Roquefort cheese. Half of them were closed or empty (in addition to the large mussels), so I didn't eat much. The sauce didn't have much of a cheese flavor, and on top of that, my basket of fries was only half full. Disappointing. And to top it off, there was a disagreement among the staff, which influenced the quality of my dish. I won't be going back.

01/08/2026: A must-try! Homemade dishes; I had the bluefin tuna and the aioli—truly excellent, fresh ingredients! Superb welcome and helpful advice too. I highly recommend it.

19/07/2026: We waited 40 minutes for our pizzas, and I even had to go check on them to find out what was happening... They were supposed to let us know when they were ready, but we didn't hear back until I intervened. We could have waited much longer before getting our takeout... Despite their mistake, I got a real dressing-down, probably from the owner who clearly doesn't understand customer service...😬 Don't go there expecting a comfortable experience, but go there if you're lucky enough to get a good meal. Otherwise, the pizza is good 👍

16/04/2026: I've been ordering from this pizzeria for 15 years, and I can tell you it's the best pizzeria in Marseille. I highly recommend it! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Delivery is always on time, and sometimes even early. But most importantly, the pizza is bursting with flavor, and the crust is perfect. In short, the pizzeria is perfect.

I enjoyed a shish kebab that was simply delicious: perfectly cooked meat, fresh ingredients, and quality bread. The portions are generous, and the value for money is excellent. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone who wants a delicious meal. I will definitely be back!

19/01/2026: I booked a table for eight at La Velada two weeks in advance for a birthday celebration. We ordered food and cocktails for almost €400, and at 11:30 PM, just as the party was starting to get going, they kicked us out of the table to make room for another group! This is unacceptable! The least they could do is warn us in advance that the table could be given away at any moment, because we were left out in the cold before the party had even started! Avoid this place, especially for a birthday! What's more, they didn't hesitate to film us during the evening and put it on their social media, even though we were kicked out afterward!

08/01/2026: First time at La Velada for my friends and me. A very pleasant surprise, especially the wood-fired pizza which was excellent. A superb atmosphere in this lively restaurant – we'll be back very soon!
