26/05/2026: Always a warm welcome, well-organized and efficient table service, even though we were a group of 20 to 22 people depending on the year.
The rooms are well-equipped and comfortable, and the view is superb.
26/05/2026: We went to the restaurant for lunch and had an exceptional time with each dish being better than the last. Even the children's menu for our little one was incredible, with a super friendly waiter.

16/04/2026: The food is refined, not too heavy, and very original! My parents and I loved our meal from start to finish, and the waiter was very pleasant: he explained the origin of the ingredients and the different dishes. Of course, this restaurant offers a menu based on seasonal produce!

09/03/2026: Restaurant we visit often, the best fresh local excellent food prepared with professional mastery finesse. Never disappointed, always pleasantly surprised. Menu changes according to the fresh seasonal ingredients. Very good local wine and cocktails. Gourmet food, enjoy any time. Terrace outdoor with beautiful views of the mountains and the church, in the summer jazz Friday evening is a double pleasure. Wonderful vibes, very kind staff and owners. 30/07/2026: This place states that it closes at 10:00 PM, but when I went there at 9:00 PM they told me it was closing…
20/07/2026: We went there as a group of 10 to eat. The owner clearly told us he didn't want to move the tables and that there would be at least a 1-hour wait, so we turned around. The welcome wasn't warm; we wondered if this gentleman even wanted to work. The floor was also barely clean. Avoid this place.

23/09/2024: Disappointed: the carbide was a simple soup and the lamb was just low cuts with a lot of fat and little meat.
18/09/2024: Superb place from another world, authentic, warm. Superb welcome, magnificent setting and what can we say about the meal!!!
Everything is very good, served in dishes and like at home, everyone helps themselves. It’s excellent, simple and very well cooked!! Not to be missed!!

30/07/2024: Accueillis à quatre avec réservation par un patron exité qui n'aime ni le Béarn, ni les marcheurs, ni les cyclistes, qui posent trop de questions, ni la cuisine grasse de son confrère plus bas, nous avons vécu un moment irréaliste d'agressivité verbale !!
Monsieur, Reposez-vous, vous êtes au bord du burn-out et c'est quand même les clients qui vous font vivre !!
Truites et desserts très moyens.. Viandes bonnes et serveurs bien plus aimables !! 50€par personne... durs à digérer !!

Cuisine au feu de bois, tout est maison et top !
Certains commentaires indiquent un prix trop élevé ! Le menu à 44€ comprend : une omelette aux cèpes ( délicieuse), des truitelles, de la côte de boeuf avec des frites,du fromage et une part de gâteau basque crème et cerises griottes ! Et en plus c'est bon !
Donc il ne faut pas exagérer
La carte a des tarifs tout à fait cohérents..
Le patron est,disons, haut en couleur et en tout cas passionné..
Nous avons passé un très bon moment

18/07/2024: Restaurant de village très correct, personnel sympathique et souriant. Service rapide, et les plats sont préparés avec des produits locaux (chipirons). Nous avons passé un agréable moment et vous recommandons.
06/06/2024: Trés ancienne adresse au centre du village d Itxassou a coté du fronton,un accueil vraiment sympa par le patron jean michel,sa fille au service,une bombe d efficacité toujours la banane et dans l assiette tout du frais du jour,entrée plat dessert café pain,15 euros,certes c est ce qu on appelle le repas ouvrier,succulent et copieux.Difficile de manger sans reservation,les touristes ne s y trompent pas ils remplacent petit a petit la clientele d ouvriers toujours au RV,bref un régal avec une cuisine simple et authentique.....
