Auberge du Pastoureau
Courzieu
07/09/2026: The setting is magnificent; this restaurant is nestled in a small village in the Monts du Lyonnais. You enter a stone dining room, tastefully decorated in a very rustic style. The welcome is warm and friendly. A complete set menu, on a Sunday lunchtime, is €35, including cheese and dessert. The portions are generous and satisfying. Dauphinoise potatoes, pork, braised beef—it's simple and very satisfying. We were there to celebrate a wedding anniversary, and it was truly wonderful. We can't wait to return on a winter evening, by the large fireplace.
06/09/2026: You can be warmly welcomed once, but can you be warmly welcomed twice?
Passing through the region for a stroll, we were able to enjoy this lovely place not once, but twice. Besides the village, which is well worth a visit, the inn itself is worth lingering over. Both the exterior and interior are charming. And what can I say about the service, which was impeccable from beginning to end? The menu and the quality of the food are flawless.
In short, highly recommended. Don't hesitate to tell others about it.
I think I'll make a detour if I'm ever in the area again.
Thank you for these wonderful moments... The Belgians from the south.

14/08/2026: I come here regularly to buy pastries and pizzas, which are truly delicious! 🥐🍕
On my last visit, a gentleman unfortunately collapsed. The woman didn't hesitate for a second to offer him a cold Coke, while the men present immediately stopped what they were doing to help him.
I found this gesture of solidarity and kindness truly touching. It's this kind of attitude that makes you want to support local businesses.
I highly recommend it, both for the quality of the food and the friendly service! 😊
27/06/2026: I was very disappointed with this bakery. I tried the pizza and several pastries, and the quality was really lacking. The pizza was bland, the crust was dry and crumbly, and the toppings seemed stingy. As for the pastries, they were dry, not very flaky, and didn't seem very fresh.
The most disappointing aspect is the value for money: the prices are quite high, while the quality is far inferior to that of other bakeries in the area. At this price point, one expects much better products. I unfortunately won't be returning.
