20/04/2026: We did not stay in the Hotel we only went there for dinner. We chatted to a lovely English Lady that seems to be the proprietor so hopefully this review helps get their Restaurant service up to par. Talking badly about your customers to other patrons is a no, no, no! Simply unacceptable. We booked a table and arrived a bit early to have a drink outside as the evening was super lovely. Our table was ready and we sat promptly. We ordered our food and everything was going well… Food arrived quickly. The Restaurant by this point had 5 tables with patrons of which 3 were already served. Some locals arrived and were chatting at the bar with the only server/manager around… The food was average but the fries were really lovely so here comes Strike 1. When we finally manage to get the attention of the server/manager and asked him if we could order more fries his answer was simply “no”. There are other tables waiting for their food (2) and their fryer is simply too small so no, there is a limit of 1 order of fries per person. Ok then… did I mention we were obviously going to pay for them? And we asked for some more wine. It took quite a while to come but ok, this guy is running service by himself… Our daughter was taking her sweet time eating so we thought we could order some cheese while she was finishing so here comes Strike 2. I ask him about cheese and his answer was he hasn’t even cleaned our table how dare we ask if they have cheese. And here comes the best part - he starts badmouthing us to the other patrons. And he knew we understood French. He came around and took our plates and left the board for us to look at the menu. And he kept talking badly about us to the other tables - how dare we be on Holiday and be rushing around, he was doing what he could all by himself (whose fault is that btw?)… and is not like we were pressuring him or anything. We were pretty calm throughout this whole experience. To the point that my daughter was almost choking and I went and got water from my car before asking him for more water - that is how badly we were trying to accommodate him. When he finally comes and asks what we want I finally answered very calmly “as we are disturbing you, we only want the check please”. So if you have bad service and attitude, at least serve the absolute best food so we forget about the experience! But the food was forgettable (and I am being generous!) except for the fries - and we were denied more of them! Anyway I think it has amazing potential as the setting is lovely but they need to get their service in order…
