07/06/2026: A delightful surprise! A charming little restaurant in the village of Bargemon. The welcome was very friendly, and the attentive waiters were incredibly helpful despite my late arrival by bicycle. A lovely terrace sits at the foot of the silent bell tower, nestled under large plane trees that provide welcome shade and shelter from the wind. I enjoyed a delicious meal, a beautifully presented plate of duck breast. They also have excellent pizzas and delicious desserts, all at very reasonable prices. The village square is enhanced by a lovely fountain. Highly recommended!

12/07/2026: We chose this restaurant for dinner based on the many positive reviews. The terrace seating is very close to the street, but okay if you're not looking for a romantic setting. The placemats with advertising are acceptable. 😉 It's not exactly beautiful. The food was alright. We had steak frites, which were fine. My meat tasted good, but unfortunately, it was a bit tough. The Béarnaise sauce was delicious. But €7 for a beer is outrageously expensive. The service was quick, but definitely not friendly. We didn't feel welcome at all and unfortunately can't recommend the restaurant. No "thank you," no "au revoir." Oh well.
16/06/2026: The offer was tempting: €15 for kebabs and fresh fries, but the quantity and presentation left much to be desired. It's a shame the fries weren't homemade.
That said, the meat was good, the service friendly, and the price attractive.

02/07/2026: A perfectly ordinary café/bar, right in the heart of town. You sit comfortably under the trees, directly on the street (there isn't much traffic), and the lively, friendly owner carries every drink from the bar across the street, chatting with half the town, spreading a cheerful, vibrant atmosphere. I had two coffees and a pain au chocolat, both good and very reasonably priced (€3.30 for coffee and pain).
07/04/2026: I am very disappointed by my experience at Café du Commerce in Bargemon. The welcome was particularly unpleasant: the café owner was unfriendly, even downright rude, which immediately made me feel uncomfortable.
The worst part was his incomprehensible attempt to extort €5 from us when giving us change. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and gives the establishment a very bad image.
It's a shame, because the setting is pleasant, but this in no way compensates for the lack of professionalism and honesty. I do not recommend this place.

28/06/2026: I've been a regular at La Campana for years, and whenever I go back to Paris, I dream of this small, almost intimate restaurant with Nico, the Chef-Owner, who makes truly delicious and varied cuisine cooked over a wood fire. He loves his work and gives his all to delight his customers. This year, he's added a delicious, fresh, and subtle gazpacho to his starters—perfect for this summer heat. Oh, and you absolutely must try his caramelized onions—they're divine! The atmosphere is very friendly, and the service and waitress were excellent. I love it!
