31/05/2026: We stumbled upon this place while looking for a stay for the last weekend of May and were pleasantly surprised.
While there's no air conditioning, the warm welcome, the lake view, and the absolute tranquility more than make up for it!
15/05/2026: It's a charming hotel and restaurant. Old-fashioned, like being at home.
Impeccably clean, with a wonderful welcome and excellent food. Yes, the rooms could be more modern, but they would lose their charm. They wouldn't have the uneven terracotta floor tiles. And the charm would be gone. Don't be put off by the facade; it doesn't reflect the hidden gem within.

28/06/2026: We had a great time! Four of us came and had a fantastic meal. The welcome was wonderful, the service was excellent, and the meat was really high quality. We'll be back!
28/06/2026: One thing is for sure, we won't be going back, even though we live nearby.
Aside from the setting with its lake view, if you're on the small terrace, that's the only redeeming feature of this restaurant.
I'm still looking for the taste of ginger on the cod fillet served on a bed of bland mashed potatoes (no seasoning, let alone a drizzle of olive oil or anything else). As for the linguine with clams, well, the pasta was overcooked with tasteless clams, and the aioli sauce was too strong and overpowered everything.
The garlic croutons, which we had as an appetizer, were good and well-balanced.
The mojito was light, and the spritz was just as weak!
In short, for us, it's a big no.

28/06/2026: We (the two of us) would have liked to have chosen a table for four with a view of the lake.
Instead, the server offered us a table for two almost in the middle of the terrace. The reason given: the desired spot was too warm. The server received a thumbs-up from the owner for this.
When we had to ask twice about a food intolerance, we were answered in English.
Having lived in Provence for decades, we are quite confident in our ability to communicate, even if a German accent might be noticeable.
Our dissatisfaction increased when a couple (about 10 minutes after our arrival) were offered the table for four.
The galettes were okay.
When ordering coffee, we were asked if we meant espresso.
All in all, far from what I consider good service (see my previous reviews).

The fries were cooked in brown sugar, they were so brown, the salad was swimming in oil, and the rosé and red wine were bad.
The meat was just about acceptable. The bill was far too expensive for the quality.
21/06/2026: What a great find! Delicious meal on a lovely terrace. Super friendly owner, smiling and very professional waitress. Gypsy atmosphere for the Fête de la Musique, perfect! 👍😁

Plats copieux et bons.
Rapport qualité prix raisonnable.
Petit bémol sur la patronne au moment du règlement, pas de sourire, pas de monnaie pour le pourboire, expression verbale un.peu déconcertante.
