Auberge du Lac sur Bauduen

We stumbled upon this place while looking for a stay for the last weekend of May and were pleasantly surprised. While there's no air conditioning, the warm welcome, the lake view, and the absolute tranquility more than make up for it!

It's a charming hotel and restaurant. Old-fashioned, like being at home. Impeccably clean, with a wonderful welcome and excellent food. Yes, the rooms could be more modern, but they would lose their charm. They wouldn't have the uneven terracotta floor tiles. And the charm would be gone. Don't be put off by the facade; it doesn't reflect the hidden gem within.

We had a wonderful weekend at this inn, thanks to the very attentive welcome from the owners. The place, ideally located on the lakefront, is charming, very authentic, and very well-maintained. The food, both dinner and breakfast, is delicious. The room, with a lake view, is very cozy, with thoughtful touches like the bed being made every morning. A truly wonderful discovery of a unique place.
