31/07/2026: We had a wonderful dinner at L’École du Chêne in Gargas and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Provence or the Apt area. The menu was brilliantly adapted to the season — and even to the heatwave — with dishes that felt light, clever, and perfectly suited to the exceptional hot weather.
We both started with the vitello tonnato, followed by the tataki de bœuf: tender, beautifully marinated, and full of the thoughtful flavours Matthieu is known for. The wine list is exceptional and great value. I practically lost my husband to it for half the evening — it’s that good.
Déborah & Matthieu, with the lovely Barbara helping them, create such a warm, relaxed, down‑to‑earth atmosphere. Their new setting in the old schoolhouse is charming: cool indoors for hot evenings, and outside under the trees it feels wonderfully romantic.
We finished with the blackcurrant sorbet and apricot dessert, both sublime.
A fantastic restaurant, excellent value, and a team who truly care. We’re delighted to see them thriving in Gargas.

17/05/2026: The setting and rooms are still excellent, but the restaurant service has lost variety and quality. Just two years ago, you could enjoy a delicious Pad Thai at the bar, or other dishes at a great price. This dining option seems to have been discontinued, and in the evening, the only remaining option is the very expensive Les Vignes restaurant. This forced us to look for other dining options outside the hotel. It's a shame, as this was a real plus before.
21/04/2026: A superb place where you feel instantly at ease the moment you step inside, enveloped in a cocoon.
The entire property exudes a sense of tranquility and well-being... Everything is simply perfect... From the décor and the room to the bedding, the breakfast, and the magnificent spa... A place to discover and rediscover at length.

15/09/2024: Le Cipressa est un restaurant italien qui se trouve dans le domaine de la Coquillade à Gargas où j’ai eu l’accasion de séjourner.Il accueille aussi des gens de l’extérieur. Le domaine et le spot sont sublimes. La terrasse offre une vue sur la piscine et est bien ensoleillée. Un service de belle qualité avec un staff souriant, efficace et professionnel.
Une carte avec de plats italien et surtout les des pizzas incroyables qui sont faites par l’un des champions de France de la France. Une belle adresse et des prix raisonnables au ve la qualité et du service.
24/08/2024: Troisième essais et finalement j’e ris un très bon avis, j’ai pris une pizza pour moi qui était excellente, je. Suis moi même passionné de pizza napolitaine de pâte de levain biga et autre et je peux dire sans aucun problème que c’est l’une des meilleures pizza du Vaucluse, une pâte bien cuite légère alvéolée un peu braisée par endroit juste ce qu’il faut , des produits de qualité fromage jambon etc., ma femme a pris des falafelles vraiment excellentes légères gourmandes vraiment top et un gaspacho bien assaisonné et on a fini avec juste un café gourmand vous allez me dire « ouais ok c’est pas ou comme dessert! » mais les tartelettes étaient vraiment excellente une pâte fine croustillantes avec un appareils onctueux et vraiment bon et une verveine de tiramisu très bon donc quand je me régale je note max c’est tout.
