One of the best Sichuan restaurants I’ve tried in Paris! I actually visited this place a few years ago and was so happy to come back and find the food still just as good. The Shui Zhu Beef was a highlight, with super tender beef and a fragrant, spicy chilli oil. The spicy fried chicken was probably my favourite dish, really flavourful with great wok hei. I also loved the Kung Pao prawns with crunchy lotus root and peanuts. The tofu soup was surprisingly comforting and delicious too. Authentic flavours, generous portions, and definitely worth visiting if you love Sichuan food!

One of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at in my life.

I had a wonderful time at Dao. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such kindness and good cheer, which really made a difference. The portions were very generous; we were surprised by the amount! 😄 Even the two of us struggled to finish everything! I loved the concept of placing the dishes in the center and eating together; it creates a truly warm and welcoming atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and, above all, had a fantastic time. It's the kind of place you want to return to, not just for the food but also to experience that same great atmosphere. A truly wonderful discovery; I highly recommend it!

A truly wonderful discovery! There were two of us, and the dishes were absolutely enormous 😂 The portions were so generous that we were able to share easily. I really loved their approach: sharing the dishes together, a bit like at home, and that's exactly what makes the meal even more convivial. And above all, the welcome was incredible! The whole team was lovely, smiling, and incredibly kind. We felt wonderfully welcome from beginning to end. We loved the experience, from the food to the atmosphere and the service. A place I highly recommend; we'll definitely be back!

A wonderful discovery! We had a fantastic evening with friends. The dishes were absolutely delicious, generous, and bursting with flavor. The staff was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive throughout the meal. A word of advice if you're not used to very spicy food: some dishes can be quite hot. Fortunately, you can choose the level of spice, or even request a milder version. I highly recommend this place; we'll definitely be back!

One of the best Chinese restaurants I've ever tried!

My absolute favorite Sichuan restaurant in Paris... I've been there at least four or five times! Every dish I've ordered has been a hit! Highly recommended!! The new "Knife-a-Bite Duck" is very flavorful, but it's a bit dry on its own, so I suggest ordering something soupy to go with it. The Spicy Chicken 👍 is incredibly popular!! I've ordered it many times and always love it; it's perfectly spicy. Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs: Delicious 😋 I recommend eating it while it's hot. Pumpkin Pancakes 🥮: Especially crispy when eaten hot! Dry-Fried Green Beans: My go-to dish with rice.

I ate here twice in half a month because it was so delicious! Every dish I ordered was incredibly authentic, and the portions were generous! It was so good I wanted to give the chef a banner of appreciation! My only regret is that I've been in Paris for almost a year and only just started eating here; Daozhen is so understated! The spicy chicken is a must-order! It's stir-fried to a perfect crisp, and even after ordering it twice, it's still incredibly flavorful and spicy. The Sichuan peppercorn fish is plentiful and numbing! The portion is large, and the side dishes, bean sprouts, and tofu, are also plentiful. The "Kenken Duck" seems to be a new dish, and it was so delicious I couldn't finish it because of the huge portion. The steamed pork in a bamboo steamer is also worth trying if you can't handle spice. The taste is very similar to Hubei-style steamed pork, with pork belly and spare ribs. The pork belly is tender and fatty but not greasy, and the spare ribs are very crispy. The other dishes were also very delicious; I loved them all. Next time, I want to try the Sichuan peppercorn rabbit, taro chicken, and Maoxuewang (a spicy Sichuan dish). In addition, the environment here is very nice. The seating isn't crowded, and the air conditioning is very cool. I really liked the design of their menu and tableware; it was very thoughtful. In short, I loved it and was very satisfied! 👍
