15/03/2024: Updated opinion 2024: I am disappointed by the welcome and the inappropriate humor of the server. I love their cuisine but we need to rethink their welcome and their way of expressing themselves. Review 2019 We tested the discovery menu with a cabbage salad with sweet and sour sauce (I don't like white cabbage, but the salad is well seasoned: sour/sweet), shumai (house specialty), and ravioli (several cooking options are available: steam, fried, semi-fried, etc.) We also had translucent vegetarian noodles, to finish with a dessert of apple and chocolate ravioli. This was a good discovery and suitable for vegetarians. Unlike other Asian restaurants, the dim sum is homemade. In addition, the prices are attractive (around 10 euros per dish). (Please note, it is strongly recommended to reserve a table).

07/03/2024: A very nice restaurant! The food is tasty, full of varied tastes, the portions are generous and well proportioned, there is a lot of choice on the menu. I was able to taste the bo bun beef and the beef stir-fried with rice, both were great! Special mentions to the tasting platter with 8 starter pieces! The price is right and the service is very fast! We went there for a birthday and what we asked for was well prepared for dessert!

12/02/2024: The owners graciously accommodated us on a Sunday, even though I was unaware of the need for advance reservations on weekends. This was my 4th or 5th visit, and the charm of the place remains unchanged. The diverse selection of games is impressive, and the owners consistently offer a warm welcome. What sets this board games parlour apart is their willingness to take the time and patiently explain various games, making sure everyone feels comfortable. They were kind enough to provide explanations in English, showcasing their multilingual proficiency. Having visited other game parlours where the staff showed little interest in explaining rules or games, I truly appreciate the welcoming and passionate atmosphere here. Despite the distance from my place, this parlour remains my top choice. Each visit has been a delightful experience, and I extend my gratitude for these consistently great moments. This board games parlour in Paris holds a special place in my heart, standing out as a favourite among all others.

05/04/2024: Rooms are tiny, doesn't look tiny on photos. Hardly two people fit one room with double bed.

03/04/2024: Cozy breakfast room, tasty breakfast, good service, friendly staff, good location. We arrived late upon arrival, had reached our payment day limit, so could not pay immediately. No problem, the manager said, so we could pay the next day. Very accommodating. Room 2 in the courtyard was spacious and very nice. The room on the first floor was fine, but a bit dated.

23/03/2024: The crepes are very good. I'm just a little disappointed with the low amount of chocolate for the dessert crepes! It was not just my opinion, but the unanimous opinion of the table. I came back twice, and the last time I asked not to have whipped cream but double chocolate instead. Honestly, I didn't see much difference. Also, I don't know if you've stopped offering to tip on a credit card payment, but I find it VERY VERY awkward. I strongly advise you to stop. If customers want to leave you extra, they will let you know.

23/03/2024: Ms. Angèle, as she is called at La Halte, has made the brasserie “her place” for quite some time. It would be time for a little word. Charm of the place, kindness of all the staff, prices like everywhere, especially for generous portions. Readable menu, not the fashion of "Top Chef" ads where you wonder what you are going to eat. La Halte included in my rejuvenating places with the Jardin des Plantes and the Cluny Museum...!!

17/03/2024: Unfortunately today I ate very badly, I was served an inedible flank steak and I was even offered coffee.

02/04/2024: New visit. Always so subtle and friendly. Be careful of the peppers but by observing other customers, the pepper may remain on the plate. It is there to perfume. Definitely excellent value for money.

I found the welcome from the owner and his employees very friendly and warm, who also offered us a drink while our takeaway meals were prepared.
