It was a pleasure to rediscover this excellent Caen restaurant. The cuisine is as wonderful as ever, with precise cooking, perfectly balanced seasoning, and masterful flavor combinations. The service is impeccable, attentive without being intrusive. We particularly appreciated the non-alcoholic wine pairing, which led to some delightful discoveries; thank you to the sommelier. A truly enjoyable experience in this new location with its soothing and intimate decor.

We dined at Contre Sens the weekend of July 14th, as we do every year. It's always extraordinary; each dish is a delight of finesse and refinement. The service is very pleasant.

An eight-course romantic dinner with a wine pairing option was pure enchantment from beginning to end. First, there's the setting, which you can imagine was designed entirely for visual pleasure, from the decor to the tableware. Then there's the service, with a young and dedicated team who immediately put you at ease; not a single flaw. Last but not least, there's Anthony Caillot's cuisine... What can I say except that it's exceptional? A blend of tastes, textures, and flavors that transports your palate to the very edge of bliss. In short, everything contributes to an unforgettable experience! Thank you.

A very pleasant setting with a young, cheerful team who are very tactful and humorous. It's so nice to receive a simple, unpretentious welcome. We were in a restaurant without being bothered by an "overcrowded" atmosphere. For all of that, THANK YOU. When ordering, the question was asked: "Do you have any allergies or ingredients you don't like?" I answered yes, specifying one ingredient. But I forgot others, and the second course started with one of those ingredients. I tasted it anyway, and wow: marvelous, almost a delight! So for that: THANK YOU again and WELL DONE, because usually, that doesn't fly at all 😂. Finally, a final THANK YOU and CONGRATULATIONS: the harmony of the dishes, the carefully prepared ingredients, and the elaborate dishes are beautiful, delicious, and well presented by the staff. Not a single flaw, just pure bliss in a very pleasant setting.

Excellent tasting menu in professionally run modern restaurant. We had the 7 courses and every dish was a delight. Staff were excellent. I would highly recommend.
