We went to eat there on the evening of September 2nd with a friend and weren't disappointed; it was a good restaurant with generous portions and a really friendly atmosphere.

The food was good, we enjoyed our meal. However, we felt like we were bothering them; the service was efficient, but as for a smile, forget it ;)

We stopped at the Belle Excuse restaurant during our stay in Auvergne and received a very warm welcome. The truffade was delicious and the service was quick.

A lovely little restaurant in the city center. It's worth a visit for the warm welcome and the traditional Truffade (a typical Auvergne dish made with potatoes and Cantal cheese), as well as the homemade desserts. Very friendly service.

A wonderful discovery! Passing through Thiers for the day, we stumbled upon this restaurant near these little streets, and we were so glad we did because we had a delightful time. We received a very warm welcome, the service was quick, and the dishes were delicious and fresh. The desserts were delicious too. Thank you also for the cleanliness of the restrooms, which is a real plus. It reflects a sense of responsibility and respect. The family in the Slayer t-shirts 😎🤘🏼

I had a great time at La Belle Excuse. A big thank you to the owner who ran after me to retrieve my phone, which I'd left on the table. Looking forward to returning.

19/09/2026: I organized my birthday party with my family at the Calypso in August. The team was fantastic, the setting was superb, and the food was excellent. I highly recommend the St. Nectarine party; the chocolate cake was excellent. Thank you!
