04/08/2026: My second visit to Le Comptoir in Neuilly-sur-Seine, and from the moment I crossed the threshold, I had that rare feeling of rediscovering a place that makes you feel good. Because beyond being a restaurant, it's a world apart. The decor had already won me over the first time, but this time, I took the time to really appreciate it: the immense bookcase that gives the room its soul, the chandelier with its delicately diffused light that envelops you without ever being harsh, the large, imposing, and welcoming bar that seems to invite you to slow down… and the sofas, the plush cushions where you sink in with the comfort of a five-star lounge. Nothing is left to chance, and yet everything feels natural. That's understated elegance. Then there was that suspended moment that I think will stay with me forever: I was recognized. Simply. With a genuine smile. Just my second visit, and the welcome was the kind reserved for a regular. It's not a mere formality, it's a deliberate choice.
