Discovered this restaurant at lunchtime, here is a very good address to remember. Top notch welcome and service with a smile. A simple and effective card. Excellent cuisine. In short, it's all good. I recommend without hesitation.
Special mention for the lemon meringue tart for dessert which delighted my palate.

A big THANK YOU to Carol and her son Charles and Mozart the cat 🥰 a nice surprise... a coincidence that we do not regret in any way. The cuisine, especially the ceviche, was a delight. Excellent address in Vezelay. We were a stone's throw from our hotel (hotel de la poste and du lion d'or). Short and very well thought out card. We feasted. We missed the eggs en merette because the chef had “missed” them, a sign of homemade cooking, freshness and honesty.
Lovely staff. We recommend without reservation. Only one small downside which does not change our assessment.... the mediocre quality of the bread.... but that's all there is to it!

You don't recommend a restaurant because of the service. But! That was world class at the world cultural heritage site. I rarely receive such friendly, competent, quick and courteous service. The young man is great. And the kitchen ensures with absolutely delicious food that he can rightly be the perfect host with full confidence.
More than just absolutely recommended. This is gastronomy.
We drank Chablis, which was also far more than just good.
