A La Ville de Petrograd sur Paris

We came to La Ville de Petrograd for dinner to celebrate my birthday on Saturday, February 21st, with family and friends, and what a wonderful evening it was! We received a truly warm welcome from a lovely, smiling, and very attentive team. The place is full of charm, with beautiful, tasteful decor, located in a quiet neighborhood with a lovely view of the church, which really adds to the atmosphere. The traditional cuisine was beautifully presented and delicious; we thoroughly enjoyed it. Special mention goes to the live music: a fantastic, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere—exactly what you need for a great time. One small drawback: it was a little warm inside, but nothing that spoiled the evening. A real little trip to Russia from Paris. Thank you for this wonderful experience!

Honestly the best Eastern European restaurant we’ve found anywhere in Europe. We live in London, but every time we’re in Paris, we make sure to come back, it’s become a little tradition for us. The food is incredible: authentic, always fresh, and homemade. Our favourites are the piroshki, Olivier salad, borscht, and golubtsi. It’s also very rare to find fresh, high-quality caviar at a reasonable price, but their caviar is always exceptional and at a very reasonable price. The space itself is beautiful. The décor is tasteful and thoughtfully done, and the whole place feels warm and welcoming from the moment you walk in. There’s always a lovely atmosphere, whether you’re enjoying a quiet dinner or spending a lively evening with musicians playing. It’s one of those rare places that simply feels special, and we’ll definitely keep coming back.

Amazing experience. authentic food, warm service & unique atmosphere! I had a truly delightful experience here. The cuisine is wonderfully authentic. Rich, traditional Russian dishes that are both flavorful and beautifully presented. The borscht, pirozhki and Olivier salad are standout favourites, and every dish feels thoughtfully prepared with quality.  What really makes this place special is the atmosphere: the cozy interior, friendly and attentive staff, and the intimate live music evenings create a warm and memorable dining experience that’s perfect whether you’re with friends, on a date, or trying Russian cuisine for the first time.  It’s also in a great location (just steps from the beautiful Russian Orthodox cathedral) and well worth a visit if you’re in Paris. Highly recommended, and I can’t wait to come back!

Petrograd hosts very warm, truly soulful evenings with live music, each time creating a unique atmosphere. And the food is always top-notch, consistently delicious, with generous portions and lovingly crafted.

The atmosphere is subdued, the service discreet and friendly, and the pelmeni are incredible...

If you want the atmosphere, you should come on Friday and Saturday. The culture is good. The service is rather reserved.

I was with friends; two of them were trying Russian cuisine for the first time, and their plates were fine. I had vegetarian borscht and pirozhki with mushrooms, cabbage, and spinach, and I loved everything! It was delicious! But the service was terrible! I have no desire to go back!

Lovely setting, impeccable service, delicious cuisine, although quite rustic from appetizers to dessert. Reservations essential.

A quality restaurant with an honest Russian menu, free of popular dishes from the usual fare. Everything is truly delicious. The Russian salad (Olivier), which is usually uneatable in Europe, is especially delicious here. The portions are large and filling, making it convenient to come with a large group and share to try more. If one person orders several dishes, they risk overeating or having to take away. The prices are high, but the quality is outstanding. For the price, I found no sloppy dishes.
