À La Voile Blanche sur Bouzigues

We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the suite...very functional with a shower and a whirlpool bath. THANK YOU! The restaurant offers Mediterranean cuisine, but for us older folks, it was a bit too heavy, especially in the evening. They offer children's menus, which would be great, especially in the evening. Consider a lighter menu: soup and various vegetables, as well as a dairy dessert or a piece of fruit! Something to think about for seniors.

The hotel is really only usable in the summer and when the sun is shining brightly enough. There's no heating system, and I wouldn't want to subject the air conditioning to the heat. When there's a storm, which we've had for the last 10 days, showering in the morning is a challenge. Despite this, I love the hotel because of its location by the sea and the Etang de Thau. Even though I ventilate constantly, there's always a musty smell in the room, as the moisture only dissipates when I ventilate vigorously. The air has improved somewhat since I started ventilating. The staff is helpful and friendly. However, there are language barriers with English. My French has improved as a result, which has made communication easier. Translator apps make life easier. The food is excellent and worlds better than at the neighboring hotel. Although there are days, like today, when a terrine with a baguette is dinner. The restaurant is closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evenings (off-season). They baked the baguette especially for me and served it free of charge. A nice touch. After 10 days, I'm practically part of the furniture. A great starting point for exploring Sète and visiting wineries to buy wine. Located almost perfectly on the motorway, which is virtually silent. Petrol is 20 to 40 cents cheaper than in Germany. Addendum: What I don't understand is why I haven't received a reply to my emails. 1. I forgot to bring a green fleece jacket and asked if it could be sent to me at my expense. No response. 2. Upon arrival, I had to pay in advance for the 10 days of my room booked through booking.com. Furthermore, my booking didn't seem to be on file. This was probably also due to language difficulties. For such basic matters, a hotel should have sufficient English language skills. Since I've recently traveled extensively throughout Europe and never had any language problems, this was quite annoying at times. My travel destinations were Sweden, Denmark, France, and Italy.

The room wasn't very nice. The door was broken, and the bathroom and sink weren't very private. The manager wasn't pleasant upon arrival, the welcome wasn't warm, and we didn't even say goodbye in the morning. The breakfast was just about acceptable, but we won't be back.

A lovely stopover with a beautiful view of the pond and Mont Saint Clair. The room is quiet (at this time of year) and well laid out.
