Le Marin sur Bouzigues

Recommended during our boat trip on the Thau Lagoon, we came to this restaurant without even looking at the menu beforehand. What a pleasant surprise! The seafood was very fresh and high quality, the service was excellent, and the location is perfect. I highly recommend it!

Le Marin is a fabulous French restaurant in this charming seaside village of Bouzigues. Delicious oysters and seafood gratin medley. Cheerful friendly team and super service with wide choice of dishes at reasonable prices. We will be visiting again.

Arrived at 1:30 pm with my dog, a table for 4 on the terrace was available… go!! 10 people arrived after 2 pm and were accepted, the welcome was great 👍 I had the fish soup, well, I wouldn't recommend it if you're familiar with the rockfish soup from Marseille and the surrounding area. I found it very bland, almost watered down, and the rouille wasn't rouille at all, no garlic, just a yellow color and not rusty. Not great. Then came grilled cuttlefish with aioli, very generous portion, cooked to perfection, and the aioli had enough garlic for most people (for me, it's never enough, I'm from the South). Overall, it was quite good, but I was disappointed by the tasteless soup, which was €19 on the menu ☹️ The grilled cuttlefish at €25 isn't cheap… the first set menu at €30 (starter and main or main and dessert) is reasonable. ✅

The table next to us said they were never disappointed by this restaurant. For a first visit, I can confirm. Everything was delicious. Moreover, I received a very warm welcome. I already know where I'll eat when I return to Bouzigues.

The food was very good, and the setting was pleasant. The waiters were friendly enough, but the service was incredibly slow. There were four of us, and we were at the table for over two and a half hours at lunchtime, even though the restaurant wasn't full! That was far too long for us, especially since we still had a 30km bike ride home. We tried to tell the waiters, but we had to wait and wait some more. What a shame!

A very nice restaurant with a lovely menu and a daily special offering that's excellent value for money. Unfortunately, the service is slow and they get overwhelmed quickly. You need to have time to wait.

The dishes we sampled were good. There was a lot of garlic in the sauces and in the seasoning for the gratinated mussels and oysters. If there had been less garlic, I would have enjoyed the dishes even more. Unfortunately, it was raining heavily and cold. Even inside, it felt chilly. I can't say if this is always the case or if it was a coincidence (since it's May, I understand the heating was off). The staff was kind and attentive.
