Excellent food, everything is homemade. The cordon bleu is truly high quality and very reasonably priced. The young couple who run this inn are very welcoming. Friendly atmosphere and quick service. Everything was perfect! 😊

This restaurant is one of our must-visits! A real gem, both for its ambiance and the quality of its cuisine. The service is impeccable, and the dishes are generously portioned, prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients. A true delight for the taste buds! Special mention goes to the Munster cheese tarte flambée, which we absolutely love every time.

25/05/2026: We deliberately avoided tourist hotspots in Alsace, seeking something authentic. A place with genuine Alsatian atmosphere, nature, tranquility, and honest cuisine. We discovered the Auberge Lindenhof in Hohwald through ChatGPT—and it was an absolute stroke of luck. We planned our bike tour specifically to include a stop there and were thrilled to even get a table. Almost exclusively locals—that says it all. The food was outstanding. Add to that the special atmosphere amidst nature: pure idyll. It was also wonderful to see the joy and warmth with which the owner and the entire team work. You can immediately sense the passion they have for this place. For us, it was a truly special break on a beautiful bike tour in a stunning region. Thank you for this experience.

03/06/2026: First experience at this Hohwald restaurant for a family lunch. We were warmly welcomed by smiling and attentive staff. The overall atmosphere was cozy and pleasant. The dishes were beautifully presented, tasty, and clearly prepared with care. Unfortunately, one detail significantly marred this otherwise positive impression. The small salad accompanying the fried food was particularly meager, and any additional portion was charged at €2.50. For a bill of €180 for four people, charging this extra for a few leaves of salad feels stingy and difficult to understand. It's a shame, because up until that point, everything was going very well. This small, inconsistent gesture ultimately overshadowed the rest of the experience. For this reason, despite the aforementioned positive aspects, I don't plan to return.
10/05/2026: We had booked a surprise getaway for my husband, and from the very first phone call, the welcome made all the difference. Our expectations were met, with a most welcoming reception.
