A l'ardoise sur Le Havre

Located on the quayside overlooking the docks, L'Ardoise enjoys a pleasant setting. The restaurant boasts a lovely terrace with views of the port of Le Havre. The welcome was particularly warm. We settled comfortably under the veranda that evening. The menu is varied and offers some unusual dishes. We noticed original starters such as the Japanese-style fried egg with chickpea cream, or the avocado with poppy seeds, mango and celery insert, which made us want to explore this cuisine. These dishes were excellent! For our main course, we chose the veal kidneys with mushrooms, accompanied by homemade fries—a delicious dish. A very good restaurant and a wonderful discovery that we highly recommend when visiting Le Havre. It's best to make a reservation as the restaurant fills up quickly.

Superb seared tuna with its pepper sauce, and a truly delicious sea bass fillet. The cocktails are also excellent, perfectly balanced :) The waitress was cheerful and very professional. We highly recommend it!!

Discovered by chance, what a delightful surprise this charming restaurant was, with its cozy setting and warm atmosphere! The owner and the waiter were incredibly attentive and welcoming, making us feel instantly at ease. And what can we say about the food? A huge congratulations to the chef, who masterfully elevates ingredients with daring combinations and perfectly cooked fish and meat dishes. We finished with some delicious desserts. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it.

First time at L’Ardoise, we came as a family of three, and it was a very pleasant surprise: original dishes, beautifully presented, and everything was delicious (including the cocktail!). We'll be back! 👍
