Very warm welcome, very nice place but above all excellent food! I really loved it. An affordable lunch option with great discoveries, that’s a change! The chef (who seems to me to be the boss) who comes to see us at the end of the meal, and not to spoil anything, a premium white wine by the glass. We will definitely come back

So pleased we found this place! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was so friendly. The gazpacho and the pork main course were particularly good but it would be hard to choose a favourite as the whole meal was excellent. Nice to have small desserts too, much better than huge puddings when we have already had two courses. Loved the homemade guacamole and the excellent Canon de Fronsac wine. Definitely recommended!

Cuisine raffinée, des produits de qualité, des goûts qui sortent de l’ordinaire. Côté table : rien à dire, c'est très bon. Par contre, le service du midi est un peu lent : ne convient donc pas à une pause déjeuner, mais si vous avez le temps c'est parfait.

We visited Agave on May 8, and have to admit that part of the selection was that most other restaurants were closed for the holiday (which was also our wedding anniversary). However, having lived in the Sonoran desert near Mexico, we were intrigued with mixing classic French techniques with authentic Mexican ingredients. The entire dinner was innovative and rewarding, from the warm greetings from the staff to the unexpected fusion of flavors. I was accustomed to and welcomed the spiciness, but could see that it might be disconcerting to French people who had not acquired a taste for it yet. The amuse-bouche was stunning – one of my favorite bites in France. Note the restaurant is located on a closed-access cobble-stone street, which made access to the location difficult for a wheelchair (though the restaurant itself was fully accessible). I wish we could go back and explore it more.
