We were here for lunch on a Monday. Very friendly staff, fast and competent service, and a very good three-course meal of high quality for €45.

Our new favorite restaurant, an incredible experience from the food to the service. Beautifully presented dishes, and the taste was equally impressive. Surprising and delightful flavors. Truly excellent service; you don't have to ask for anything, and the servers are always smiling. I really don't understand the bad reviews; go without hesitation.

What a beautiful experience at l'Échevin restaurant! Enchanting place, lovely old-style design with cosy sittings (we had a table from where we could enjoy the direct view of a picturesque canal), delicious food, fantastic wines and overall elegant and friendly serving (especially the top sommelier). Touristy for sure, but with class. It's not very expensive, but neither cheap, I think it's a good balance for the price of the service one receives.

A great restaurant with attentive, multilingual staff. At lunchtime, a set menu was offered, including an amuse-bouche. The food was very good; the portions were a bit small for my taste, but I was aware of this beforehand. The ambiance is lovely, and despite the slightly dated furnishings, everything feels cohesive and harmonious. A table by the window is highly recommended.

We spent a wonderful evening at l'échevin. It has an upmarket feel, whilst being laid back at the same time. Service was top notch from start to finish, staff were friendly and efficient without being overbearing. Then the food - just wow! We had the signature menu and the flavours and quality of cooking were exceptional, refined and surprising. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

It was a charming evening at a lovely restaurant. Jean, Unai, Gadaf, and Prachi were so kind and accommodating. The various courses were an absolute delight. I would absolutely recommend it to friends and family.

Restaurant À l'Échevin serves very good dessert, I will definitely come back again for their sweets. It's the Michelin Recommend restaurant I'm the hotel of À l'Échevin, part of the Little Venice area. The Signature Menu starts from their duck liver, À l'Échevin served it with kiwi and chestnut 🌰, probably the best combination I've ever encountered, love it !!! Not a fan of their smoked eel and the filled cake of sea bass and lobster, smoked eel tasted like smoked salmon, and the lobster stole the tenderness of sea bass. As to the roasted doe, too dry. But have to give BIG credits to their desserts, the pre-dessert is the barley ice on black garlic jelly, very interesting chemistry blended together in your mouth, love it !!! As to the final dessert, they barley ice on the ice pears, it's sweet but very mild and smooth, melt right into your mouth; as to the barley rice pudding, the kick of buckwheat caramel is the spotlight.

18/02/2026: I confess, we went there with real concerns regarding the place after reading the reviews, but as it was situated right in front of our flat, we said, let's give it a chance. And we didn't regret at all. The sitting was perfect, right onto the roofed deck with the best views to the canal, the traditional food was amazingly delicious (the bone marrow was a bliss!), the service was excellent, very friendly and kind, they didn't rush us at all, we had a decent Riesling wine. The quality - price balance was very good. At the end we reached a conclusion: the restaurant is placed in an extremely touristy area and probably sometimes the clients are annoyed by expecting to be treated like royalties in a very traditional, unpretentious restaurant, which of course is not happening. This type of frustrated clients lead the stuff to get grumpy and probably treat everyone badly. I think going there with a smile on your faces and be polite and understanding with the hard work of the stuff is the be way to receive a friendly service in return. This is how we did and it was a fantastic experience. Thank you.
14/02/2026: Warm service from a very smiley and attentive young blonde waitress. The meal was delicious with modern and well-balanced flavors. The only downside was the lack of side dishes for the meat. We had a very pleasant evening.
