A very good restaurant in a small space. The service was friendly and respectful, explaining the dishes and answering questions.

We spent a week in Alsace and this was the best lunch we had. Excellently thought out menu, very tasty food, beautifully presented. Very good wine selection.

Too little for the price! The food was okay, but nothing special. The service was really poor considering the price. With a tasting menu and wine pairing, I expect much more than the bare minimum. What a shame for such a beautiful and venerable restaurant...

We came for dinner with our two children and their grandmother, who loved the experience from beginning to end. The ambiance is decidedly classic, with an old-world charm. We had some initial hesitations, but they quickly vanished. We were welcomed with delicate amuse-bouches, accompanied by fresh, perfectly crusty bread. The dishes were refined, fresh, and flavorful, the wine excellent, and the delicate petits fours offered at the end of the meal were a lovely touch. The only slight drawback: my plate of green gnocchi with Swiss chard could have been a little more generous. The service was impeccable from start to finish: attentive, professional, and warm. Our children were particularly pampered with balloons and beautifully presented dishes. It's worth noting, however, that the children's menu doesn't offer pasta or fries, but a choice of meat or fish accompanied by seasonal vegetables or mashed potatoes, which we appreciated. A very pleasant surprise and an address we recommend without hesitation.

Reservations are highly recommended, especially for parties of more than two. The welcome is friendly, the staff international, and each dish is described. Amuse-bouches are included between courses. The presentation is elegant, though the taste is inconsistent. The smoked watermelon was excellent as a starter, but the chicken and Arctic char main courses were not exceptional. The trout on a bed of risotto, however, was excellent. The desserts were quite good.

We had a very delicious meal here. The food was of excellent quality and tasted wonderful. Unfortunately, we have to deduct one point because we simply cannot understand why they only spoke to us in French, even though they demonstrably spoke German or English. Their behavior was unprofessional; they could have done better.

A magnificent start to this Easter weekend. Everything was perfect, from the appetizer to the dessert, a festive menu of rare finesse where each dish showcased exceptional culinary expertise. What makes the experience at L'Échevin truly unique is the precious balance between exquisite cuisine and exemplary, humane service. It's rare to find a restaurant of this caliber where the staff demonstrates such attentiveness, anticipating every wish with a smile and courtesy that made us feel privileged from the very first moment. We extended this enchanting interlude at Bar Le Baron, where the cocktails are simply exquisite, served by a team that is as warm as it is professional. A must-visit in Colmar where the art of hospitality truly comes to life. We will return with immense pleasure to discover new culinary gems. Thank you for this exceptional experience!

Refined cuisine featuring high-quality ingredients. The daily menu offers excellent value for money. Petit fours are offered with the starter and dessert, a very welcome surprise from the chef.
