A wonderful experience with excellent value for money. Set menus are becoming increasingly rare! Original and well-prepared dishes. Every single dish we chose at our table of four was thoroughly enjoyed. The servers were pleasant and attentive. The dining room is located in a former chapel where some of the original murals remain. The terrace was a lovely spot to enjoy the balmy evening. Definitely worth a visit!

On a weekend getaway with friends in Le Puy-en-Velay, we came to eat two nights in a row. The meals were delicious and the service impeccable. A shout-out to Stef from Stef! Thanks again! The four friends from Saint-Étienne

Welcomed with a carafe of water to quench our thirst in the intense heat, the meal went perfectly. From the service to the food, there was nothing to criticize. The three-course menu (starter, main, dessert) was very reasonably priced and featured high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. Highly recommended, and be sure to book in advance.

10/09/2026: I came here for lunch today, not a holiday, and it was very busy. We were lucky to find outdoor seating available. Le Pier in September is experiencing a cold high-pressure system approaching, so it's quite chilly in the mornings and evenings. I had the special meal, which was absolutely delicious. You must try the three-course special; everything from the appetizers to the main course and finally the dessert and bread was unparalleled. Drinks are extra (I recommend ordering them). The coffee was quite good, and the service was excellent. Even though my French wasn't fluent, they had English to communicate with me. I think this place is excellent and highly recommend it. It's next to the cathedral, so don't miss it!

12/09/2026: Very good value for money. Even without a reservation on a Friday evening, we were warmly welcomed and served. Fondant châtaigne is highly recommended!
