21/08/2026: Discovered by chance, this charming little crêperie even had a terrace. The welcome and service were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The surprise at lunchtime was a €9.90 set menu with a savory crêpe and a sweet one. Of all the crêperies we visited in town afterward, this one was definitely worth the detour 🥰

10/09/2026: I came here for lunch today, not a holiday, and it was very busy. We were lucky to find outdoor seating available. Le Pier in September is experiencing a cold high-pressure system approaching, so it's quite chilly in the mornings and evenings. I had the special meal, which was absolutely delicious. You must try the three-course special; everything from the appetizers to the main course and finally the dessert and bread was unparalleled. Drinks are extra (I recommend ordering them). The coffee was quite good, and the service was excellent. Even though my French wasn't fluent, they had English to communicate with me. I think this place is excellent and highly recommend it. It's next to the cathedral, so don't miss it!

23/08/2026: Without a doubt, the best restaurant we discovered during our 3-day holiday in Le Puy-en-Velay. For €30, we felt like we were enjoying a true gastronomic experience. From the appetizer to the dessert, each dish was beautifully presented, generous, and bursting with flavor. The desserts were simply outstanding, with flavor combinations rarely found at this price point.

22/08/2026: Dinner yesterday with friends. Everything was perfect, from the appetizer to the dessert, with a varied selection for everyone. The presentation was worthy of a Michelin star. The servers were pleasant and attentive. Don't change a thing! Thank you for a wonderful time!

13/08/2026: A magnificent culinary discovery in Le Puy-en-Velay. Each dish is a true work of art, showcasing high-quality ingredients with exquisite finesse. The presentation is refined and modern. I particularly appreciated the contrast of colors, especially the pretty purple potato chips that accompany the vegetables. A must-visit for lovers of fine dining.

02/08/2026: Family restaurant. 2 staff. 1 in the kitchen and 1 in front of house. Continually changing menu. Lots of space between tables. More people could be fitted in but then staff would have to be employed. This way the menu can be adjusted to match produce available and clients get individual attention.

13/08/2026: An excellent restaurant in Le Puy-en-Velay. The setting is truly charming, with its warm and elegant decor that immediately invites you to linger. The cuisine lives up to the ambiance. We thoroughly enjoyed generous portions, beautifully presented on lovely plates. The cooking was perfect, and every bite was a pure delight. Everything was in place for a very pleasant experience. A gourmet discovery to be repeated without hesitation.

11/08/2026: For the past few months, the bread in their sandwiches has been consistently dry (11 a.m., 2 p.m., 5 p.m.... same thing). They're probably made with day-old bread. It's not exactly surprising, but it's still a shame: I'll miss the cookies. Goodbye La Mie Câline, hello La Gloriette!

26/08/2026: Like everyone has said, eating here is like eating at your best friend's house as a child. Very obviously home-cooked warmth. Go with the plats de jeur (two-meat meatball in tomato on rice when I ate here) and the house dessert (creme caramel) is equally delicious and comforting. An excellent diversion from the gastro brasserie fare. 100% would visit again.
