Very pleasant to visit, well maintained and with many views of the sea. Much less extensive and less spectacular than Bonifacio, it still offers many characteristic corners and a beautiful panorama, especially of the inland mountains.

The Calvi citadel is very imposing and dominant. A lot of climbing which allows you to fly over the city which in my case, the most beautiful city in Corsica. I have an admiration for the old center with its narrow streets. Its church of Saint Mary Major. Its port. After three stays, I never tire of it. And then, the little train which allows you to stop either at the beaches, or at Ile Rousse or Ajaccio. A legend says that Calvi is the birthplace of Christopher Columbus??
