25/06/2026: The worst panini I've ever eaten. A rushed frozen one, hair, an unidentified blue bit, paper stuck to the bread. Disgusting. Never again will I spend a penny at your place.

01/09/2026: I'll start by saying that this rating is largely due to the owner's rudeness. The pizzas are decent (except for the fact that all the white pizzas come with cream, which I recommend you remove). The reason for the poor rating is the owner. We dined at the restaurant in August. At 8:45 PM, we called the restaurant and asked if there was room for five. They said yes. We arrived at 9 PM and were given the choice between inside and outside, so we decided to sit outside. Since we didn't want five pizzas, we asked the waiter for just three, which we'd split between the five of us. The perplexed waiter took our order. However, after a while, he came back, yelling and screaming at us that we had a table on the terrace and we were supposed to have five pizzas, one each. It wasn't possible to have three. The rules are clear and he would make an exception, but that wasn't the way to behave (all this while shouting in French). 1 - We arrived at 9 pm and there was room for 5, so the place wasn't crowded, there was no line, and if we hadn't come, they would have sold 3 fewer pizzas; 2 - Politeness dictates that you don't shout at a customer, don't speak condescendingly, and speak in a language everyone understands (only 2 spoke French); 3 - At a restaurant, I order what I want, whether it's 2 pizzas each or half a pizza. In conclusion, I don't recommend the place or the owner. If you really want a pizza, go and try not to deal with them.

30/08/2026: The staff were standouts, just amazing. The food was great. Canelloni soo much flavor, the sauce clearly made grin stay worth cafe, and my pizza just great. Served with a great friendly welcome and a bonus they all spoke English which helped us out a lot. Definitely worth a visit

02/09/2026: Excellent value for money, a very warm welcome from the owner who deserves respect as she is everywhere... special mention for the dessert, the figs cooked in Papinou's Port 😉 absolutely delicious... we will definitely be back.

10/08/2026: The owner has changed since our last visit. The specialties are no longer Corsican but rather Latin American. However, the food is still fresh and homemade (including the fries). The service was impeccable: responsive, quick, helpful, and very friendly. Note that the opening hours listed on Google are incorrect: the restaurant is indeed open in the evening.

04/08/2026: A truly fantastic place! You could easily miss it with its small storefront, but that would be a real shame! The dishes are generous and delicious, and the owners are incredibly welcoming with lots of stories to share. I highly recommend it.

17/08/2026: Excellent fresh and well-prepared cuisine using local products. Warm and efficient service, welcoming family atmosphere, and incredibly helpful staff. In short, an address we wholeheartedly recommend if you're looking for an authentic experience!

17/08/2026: Reservation made by phone for the evening of August 15th. No information was given that there was a special menu for that evening. Very surprised upon arriving at the restaurant. The €69 menu included a Nutella cake for dessert; there's a limit to absurdity...

27/08/2026: A truly wonderful dining experience in the heart of Calvi! Via Marine Le Bistrot (on Rue Clemenceau) impresses with a fantastic combination of location, warm hospitality, and excellent food. The restaurant boasts a magnificent terrace with breathtaking views of the harbor and the sea on one side, and a charming ambiance in the narrow alley on the other. I highly recommend the menu; it offers excellent value for money, including options for children. The selection of Corsican classics, fish, and meat dishes was all delicious. The pizzas are also excellent, and the oven is a real eye-catcher. The salads are generously sized and delicious as well.

18/08/2026: Probably the best restaurant in Corsica. The service from the owner, the cuisine, and the ambiance were superb! We felt very comfortable. They even offered us our espressos on the house just because we had to wait a few minutes. Once again, it shows that true empathy and genuine charm make all the difference! We had the risotto with prawns – 10/10!
