A Scola sur Calvi

Definitely worth a visit. It was very beautiful there. The citadel is essentially the old town. There's no entrance fee. You can stroll through the narrow streets and enjoy a nice meal and drinks. You have to park outside the town, but there are parking lots in Calvi below.

It's beautiful, really. I parked in the port parking lot because I tried to find supermarket parking but there wasn't any nearby. It works with the Easypark app.

We visited Calvi in ​​the late morning and early afternoon and had a wonderful time. We explored the magnificent citadel, visited the cathedral, enjoyed the stunning panoramic views of the bay and mountains, and then savored a delicious Corsican charcuterie sandwich before finishing with a tasty ice cream. The town is very pleasant to wander through, full of charm, with an authentic atmosphere. We also appreciated finding parking easily. A truly wonderful discovery that we highly recommend during a stay in Corsica!

Magnificent citadel. A must-see if you're in Calvi. It's an authentic, timeless place. There's a magnificent view.

A family visit to the citadel. Accessible to children. Be aware that there are some steep climbs for younger children, but there are plenty of places to stop and take a break to admire the breathtaking scenery. During the day, when there's a bit of a breeze, the wind blows through the narrow streets, offering a refreshing respite.

A superb city and a majestic citadel. Lose yourself in the narrow streets, and you'll find Christopher Columbus's birthplace; ask if you can't find it. The cathedral is a must-see, with surprising features such as private balconies reserved for the city's wealthy women to attend mass and avoid epidemics (a port city, after all!).

A very pleasant walk with breathtaking views all around. A very interesting exhibition about the French Foreign Legion, with artifacts and videos, is located at the entrance to the citadel. Paid parking (but reasonably priced!) is available at the foot of the citadel.
