A Strega sur Marseille

We stumbled upon this restaurant while exploring the area. The small menu caught our eye. We ordered the sea bream with potatoes and aioli. It was absolutely delicious; we thoroughly enjoyed it. Price-wise, it's a little on the high side. As for the service, don't expect anything overly formal or impersonal. It's a family-run restaurant: here, they take the time to chat and connect! We were even treated to a Corsican song accompanied by guitar, which was a lovely touch. Highly recommended!

We had a great meal (sea bream, potatoes and aioli + linguine with clams). However, it's a real shame that smoking and joints are allowed on the terrace. Because of secondhand smoke, you lose a good part of the flavor of the food you're eating, not to mention that it's irritating to the eyes and throat and smells awful (in addition to being dangerous for your health, obviously). (I should mention that we didn't dare say anything at the time because the man who was using drugs next to his young child was clearly friends with the restaurant owners.) The service was pleasant and efficient; we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and enthusiastic staff. Furthermore, the restaurant is well located and open on Sundays. A wonderful discovery in the heart of Le Panier! A Strega is an excellent place to discover authentic Corsican cuisine, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The dishes are delicious, the beer is very good 🍺, and above all, the service is truly impeccable. A caring and very friendly team makes the experience even more enjoyable. A charming little restaurant, ideally located in the heart of Le Panier. I highly recommend it!

Was a great spot in Le Panier. Seemed very popular! Service was very friendly though clearly very busy on the day. Food was amazing, I recommend the grilled whole sea bream which was delicious. And it may be simple but the potatoes and aioli were perfect. Would definitely go again.

Delightful restaurant with great service on a lively corner in a lovely neighborhood (the most ancient in France). My wife had the most delicious take ever on eggplant parm (the only kind she ever wants to eat again in her life - extraordinary, rich flavors and texture but not at all heavy). I had the Gambas flambéed au Pernod ( very sweet flesh, again wonderful flavors). One of our best meals!

In a small alley in the Panier district, a gentle breeze on the terrace, lovely music. We had a wonderful dinner, the fisherman's platter and cannelloni were perfect. The service was excellent, and the Corsican flavors were definitely present. Thank you.
