It's a place steeped in history and beautifully preserved. You should linger over the stones to admire the work of the stonemasons, smell the fragrance of the boxwood in the cloister, and above all, follow the guided tour led by Brigitte. She has a talent for bringing the place back to life, and hearing her singing echo through the church is enchanting!
Very good system. Audio guide also in German. Explanations of the monks' way of life are understandable and impressive. It belongs to the French Antiquities Department.
The kiosk in the parking lot is also decent. We had a good meal around 1:00 p.m. It closes at 3:30 p.m.
Beautiful abbey immersed in a state forest. Guided tour in French at the end of which the guide, singing psalters in Latin, showed us the wonderful acoustics of the abbey church whose sound extends for 14 seconds. Not to be missed
An impressive place; no advance booking is necessary. There are plenty of parking spaces a few meters away.
The abbey tells a story, and you can linger there.
When we were there, a group of women (choir) spontaneously sang in the church, which was impressive and touching. There is also plenty of information and audio guides in various languages.
Absolutely worth a visit. Very friendly staff.
