Incredible views, mediocre food

The cafeteria offered a wide selection and excellent vegetable soup. A very warm welcome and an exceptional view...

An exceptional experience at Le 3842 restaurant. From the moment you arrive, you feel right at home thanks to the warm and refined atmosphere. The waitress was particularly kind, attentive, and responsive throughout the meal. The dishes were delicious, beautifully presented, and made with high-quality ingredients. The cheese platter and dessert were excellent. Special mention goes to the incredible view of the snow-capped peaks, which made the experience even more magical. A unique setting, impeccable service, and cuisine worthy of the location. A must-visit when visiting the Aiguille du Midi. We will definitely be back!

Nothing beats the view outside of this cafe!!! We had really good hot Viennese chocolate and scrumptious French flan.

A unique place, with an incredible sense of community. And the food is excellent. Reservations are recommended, as seating is limited.

Beyond the setting, which is obviously incredible, we were very satisfied with the service and the cuisine. The fresh ingredients were expertly prepared. The waitress and the chef were lovely, and the staff were attentive, caring, and very down-to-earth. A wonderful experience.

Perched on a rocky outcrop, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The view is simply stunning. Delicious food and a lovely wine cellar. Excellent service. Reservations recommended! It's a cozy little spot that only serves one seating.

I ate there on April 16th. The service was outstanding and the food superb – a place not to be missed.

The welcome was very friendly, no complaints there. The meal was good, but we were a little disappointed by the profiteroles, which were completely frozen. It was also a shame that it wasn't mentioned that the cheese selection wasn't Mont Dore and was therefore much stronger. You're mainly paying for the ambiance, but we still had a very good time. (Note: there are no restrooms in the restaurant.)
