We chose Akabeko to celebrate the 55th birthday of a dear friend, and it was a complete success from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and attentive. The Franco-Japanese cuisine is simply remarkable: each dish demonstrates rare precision and finesse, with a subtle balance between classic French flavors and Japanese techniques. It's refined without being pretentious, generous without being heavy. Special mention goes to the wine and champagne list: we had the delightful surprise of discovering the Drappier Zero Dosage Champagne, a truly exceptional wine, incredibly pure and fresh, perfect with the first courses and ideal for complementing a delicate meal without ever overpowering the other flavors. The service was impeccable throughout lunch, with just the right amount of discretion and friendliness. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant for celebrating a special occasion. We will most certainly return, and not just for major events!

An absolutely memorable culinary experience. Each dish is a true work of art, presented with remarkable finesse and precision. I was particularly captivated by the delicate amuse-bouche served on a small golden spoon. The flavors are subtle and perfectly balanced. This is a must-visit for lovers of creative cuisine in the 7th arrondissement.

For months, I kept walking past Akabeko telling myself I had to give it a try. But when you decide to dine at a restaurant with a 4.8-star rating, you expect to be surprised, amazed, or even blown away. Unfortunately, none of that happened. With every course, you keep hoping the next one will finally impress you, but the same pattern repeats itself: visually appealing dishes that are ultimately quite average in terms of flavor. The portion sizes were also disappointing. We definitely didn’t leave feeling full, which is surprising for a seven-course tasting menu. The service felt somewhat disorganized as well. There were many servers constantly crossing paths, and a different person seemed to bring each dish, which made the experience feel less cohesive but the biggest downside, however, is the food itself. It simply doesn’t justify either the price or the outstanding rating.

Simply the best restaurant I've ever been to. Every dish is absolutely delicious, from start to finish. The flavors are sensational; with every bite and every course, there's a new taste experience that leaves a lasting impression. The setting is beautiful, and the staff is very friendly and professional. I was delighted to have the opportunity to speak with the chef, who is as talented as he is charming.
