Alcyone sur L'Isle-Sur-La-Sorgue

We went here for lunch and, to be honest, we were disappointed. We both had the carpaccio: it was tasty, but definitely overpriced for what it was. The service was also mixed: the lady was friendly, but the gentleman was a bit surly. We barely had time to browse the menu, and I personally find €6 for a single beer excessive. When we didn't order dessert or coffee, we were immediately presented with the bill. There was also only one toilet, which wasn't particularly clean. All in all, not a pleasant experience – we wouldn't recommend it.

Arrived at noon for lunch for four people (including two children). A great time, a very pleasant restaurant, and the owner couple were equally as pleasant. The bull steak was perfect, and the profiteroles and the chef's rum baba were delicious. I recommend it.

Average meal and expensive value for money. The dishes are too salty. The server, who seems to be the owner (?), is unpleasant: - He states from the start that he won't serve fried food if we only order drinks. He insists that we order a main course as well. - He announces that he'll clean the tables with a pressure washer once the Asian customers have left. - He is arrogant when asked to justify unclear prices on the menu (payment for each very small sauce is 2.50 euros!!!). He never questions himself, even when he points out that the dishes are too salty or for the sauces: you, the customer, are in the wrong, implying that we'd be better off going back to Lyon or Paris. If you don't have a business sense, you might as well change careers, Mr. Restaurant Owner! Luckily, the waitress is super nice and cheerful! There are plenty of other nice and welcoming restaurants here. This one probably doesn't deserve your interest.

Positive points: We ate very well. Negative points: The €2.50 sauce per sauce is really excessive. We've never seen that anywhere else. Other points: Children are welcome but are required to eat, which doesn't bother me in itself, but there's no children's menu. A sausage and fries cost €14.50, which isn't listed on the menu, a bit pricey all the same. It's also a first for us not to find a children's menu on the menu.

Having lived in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue for many years and being passionate meat lovers, we know that Alcyone is the place to enjoy quality meat, and tonight we weren't disappointed either. A big thank you to the team for this delicious cuisine… (PS: the rum baba was a real treat (thank you for the ❤️😉)). We look forward to returning very soon, Rachel and Didier

Beautiful place! The young musicians have a very good selection of food; the dishes are well-proportioned and delicious, and the welcome was excellent too!
