We had a lovely lunch at the riverside café. Pleasant setting, not too crowded, perfectly cooked flank steak, and a friendly waiter (Thierry). Excellent!

Superb place, charming setting, calm and relaxing. Excellent service, a friendly owner who shares his knowledge of the region. Simple but very good dishes. What more could you ask for? Don't hesitate to go.

This is the second time we've eaten as a family at this charming restaurant with its spacious terrace and breathtaking view of the Sorgue River. We received a very warm welcome; the waitress even recognized us the second time. The charcuterie and cheese boards are a great idea for summer evenings. I would have liked a bit more choice on the menu while still maintaining the "homemade" feel of the dishes. We enjoyed the coolness of the Sorgue River in the evening after the day's heatwave.

I came to this restaurant with five people during lunchtime service. ----------------------------------------- Order: Drinks: - 1 Kir - 2 Spritz Saint-Germain - 1 Coca-Cola - 1 Homemade Iced Tea - 1 Grenadine Diabolo Starters: - 2 Trout Rillettes - 1 Charcuterie/Cheese Platter Main Courses: - 4 Classic Burgers - 2 Fish & Chips ----------------------------------------- Comment: Regarding the Drinks: Everything was very good. However, and purely for improvement, the Saint-Germains could be sweeter. (At least in my opinion). Generally, elderflower liqueur and Prosecco are served with lemonade rather than sparkling water. And this sweetness helps create a rounded mouthfeel and balances the very alcoholic effect of the Saint-Germain/Prosecco blend. ⚠️ It's really important to note that this is just my own opinion on the Saint Germain Spritz. And also the only "downside" I found during the meal. Starter: The charcuterie and cheese platter was generously filled. There were three pieces of cheese, a tangy compote/chutney, and several pieces of charcuterie. The cheese selection was interesting and varied; the pairing of these cheeses, while not all following the same flavor profile, highlights the desire to both please everyone and offer a range of quality cheeses. The charcuterie, for its part, paired very well with the cheese and the chutney. On the other hand, the rillettes were accompanied by a salad of zucchini, yellow zucchini, and cucumber. There were no reservations, either in terms of quantity or taste. Definitely worth trying, especially paired with the charcuterie, which creates a beautiful surf and turf combination near the Sorgue River. Main Courses: Although there was a bit of a wait (30 minutes), which is understandable given the number of customers during service, it's clear that the products are fresh and high-quality. I particularly appreciated the Béarnaise sauce in the hamburger. This is more sophisticated than simple ketchup or mayonnaise. The balance of flavors is excellent, and the experience is very enjoyable. And the bread is of exceptional quality. The breading on the Fish & Chips is also noteworthy. A blend of Panko and Nori, a Japanese fried breadcrumb that's incredibly crispy, and also a well-known seaweed that perfectly seasons the dish. In conclusion for this section: The flavors are familiar, expertly executed, and this is evident in the cuisine. ----------------------------------------- Rating Comments: Easily a 5 for the Cuisine. Because there's nothing to criticize. On the other hand, a 4 for the Service. While the waitstaff was attentive and friendly, a 30-minute wait, though understandable given the restaurant's popularity, is still quite long. Hence the 4. Finally, regarding the terrace and the ambiance, there's nothing to criticize, hence the 5. This brings the overall score to 14/15. Hence 4.67/5 Rounded up, we arrive at 5, hence the overall rating. ----------------------------------------- Acknowledgements and Conclusions: Thank you to the entire team for the warm welcome, the quality of the products offered, the cuisine, and also the meticulous attention paid to customer satisfaction. In conclusion, La Guingette is a restaurant worth visiting and trying near the Sorgue River.

The setting is obviously incredible. However, €28 for a tartare that wasn't even hand-cut, not even prepared, just minced meat placed in the middle of the plate… I find that really expensive.

Everything went very well... The only downside was too many smokers on the terrace...

22/08/2026: The waitress was very friendly and efficient, but the value for money wasn't necessarily there. The owner's welcome was very distant (I think he wasn't happy with his job).
21/08/2026: We had a wonderful time, the service was pleasant, and the food was excellent. Thank you for your hospitality; we will definitely return when we are back in your area. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and the prices were reasonable.

04/09/2026: Nice restaurant, lovely little terrace by the water. The service is very pleasant and friendly. The prices are reasonable, as are the dishes. I had the excellent hand-cut beef tartare. 👍
