The burgers are excellent, and while there aren't many options, you can add extra toppings, which is great. The bread is very good, and the meat is top-notch. We'd go back a thousand times if we could.

Absolutely agree with other reviews. Delicious burger in a beautiful soft bun with crispy fries. Seating area outside to enjoy a summer evening in the bonnie wee town centre...

I'm changing my opinion... because the references are getting lost... When it first opened, it was exceptional, but the quality is no longer there... My €25 burger, fries, and drink was cold, but you could microwave the quality ingredients... (referring to the quality ingredients mentioned by Alfred). My cheese, which used to smell and taste like melted cheese, is now swimming in sauce... Note that on the day I visited, it wasn't very busy, so they could have been more careful with the cooking... As for the cold and austere decor, the atmosphere isn't cozy with wood and baskets... I'm disappointed; I'll have to look elsewhere...

This is a place I used to frequent regularly several years ago. I recently returned, and the courtesy of the establishment has significantly diminished. The decor has become cold and sterile. There's no sense of conviviality, and it's become very expensive—expect to pay around €50 for two set menus plus a children's menu. The restrooms are in a deplorable state. The kitchen is dirty, and it really doesn't make you want to linger. Nevertheless, the burgers are still good for now, even if the recipes haven't changed one bit since it opened.

I give it a 100% thumbs up! The burger is melt-in-your-mouth delicious, the meat is top-notch, and the fries are homemade.
Plus, the cheese bites are amazing.
Go for it without hesitation.

A sure bet for a smash burger.
The bun is served warm and soft, perfectly absorbing the sauce and juices from the smashed meat.
The patties themselves are smashed just right. Seasoned with salt and pepper, then crushed enough to caramelize the meat slightly, but not too much. A little greasy, but hey... it's a burger! ^^ The homemade fries are also excellent.
I recommend it.

Having been a regular customer for almost four years, I've noticed a decrease in both quantity and quality, and also a significant price increase.

Very disappointed with the fries, full of small pieces. I have a photo but I can't upload it to the review. I mentioned it to the manager, but no replacement fries were offered.
The burger was great.

We were regular customers of Alfred's, but this experience was very disappointing. We witnessed an argument between employees, during which we waited for nearly 20 minutes without any explanation or apology. No compensation was offered, which demonstrates a real lack of professionalism. We hope this situation remains an isolated incident.
