Assaggi sur Lyon

We spent 3 nights in Lyon in June. My wife and both agreed that the Eggplant Parmesan from Assaggi was our best meal of this trip. We would like to come back to Lyon just to explore the menu here in more depth. This little take out was very near our AirBnb and our best culinary find in Lyon!

We ordered a buffet of starters, the main course (lasagna), and a cheese platter for a reception of 30 people, and everything was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it!

I've been eating at Assaggi several times a week for almost a year now and I've never been disappointed! I love the atmosphere in this shop.

As a long-time customer of this fantastic Italian deli, I was recently a little disappointed by the welcome from the young saleswoman, who, while very professional, was rushed and somewhat cold. When it's the owner, it's a different story. This doesn't detract from the quality and selection of the products (it's just a shame the Parma ham wasn't very well cured). They're victims of their own success, and there's always a queue for lunch, which perhaps explains the incredibly fast service.
