Great service, lovely food! Lovely authentic place

Great restaurant. We ate there two days in a row because we liked it so much. It is small, so it is better to make a reservation, but luckily they had a spot when we arrived. The children have never eaten so well. (And my wife and I have rarely eaten so well either). Very friendly service (also German-speaking, because our French isn't great). Service with a genuine smile and friendliness towards the children as well. The filet de boeuf sur pierre was exquisite! The next day, the asparagus with 2 types of ham and 2 sauces was delicious. The scampi and the scampi salad with asparagus for the children were wonderfully flavorful. True love for food, you can taste it. Highly recommended.

We stumbled upon it by chance and it was a real find. We went to try typical Alsatian cuisine and it was delicious. A bit pricey, but that's about the same as most places. The portions were very generous and beautifully presented. One main course was more than enough. And the owners were very friendly. Highly recommended!

We decided to go there on the spur of the moment without a reservation. The welcome was friendly, and we were lucky to find a table available. The dining room is rather small, but charming and cozy. The food was excellent, and even though we don't speak French, everything was explained to us clearly. Based on our experience, I can't agree with some of the negative reviews I've seen. We also witnessed guests being turned away for arriving just before closing time. However, I consider this perfectly acceptable and not grounds for criticism. It's advisable to arrive "in good time" and not just before closing.

We arrived. The waiter told us there would be a long wait, but he made sure to get us served very quickly. The food was delicious, and the waiter was funny, attentive, and lovely. Plus, the restrooms were spotless (very important for a restaurant). Thank you! I highly recommend it! 🙏🙏🙏

Fantastic. The waitress (or landlady?) is quick, very friendly, and speaks at least German, English, and French. The food is simply amazing, and the prices are reasonable for the quality. We had the tarte flambée Forestiere and the veal schnitzel and were more than satisfied and completely full. Which is almost a shame when you see the wonderful desserts being carried to the neighboring tables. I'm writing this review while we enjoy the last of the very delicious Riesling. The restaurant is in a beautiful old house. The dining room downstairs is small, but with a lovely old wooden ceiling. There are also tables upstairs, so just ask if you arrive without a reservation. We will definitely come back when we are in the area.

I didn't go to the accommodations! Authentic restaurant in the region where I saw many French people eating. Fantastic food. Kind and attentive service, even for non-native French speakers. We tried the Lamb of the day in garlic sauce; Veal in creamy sauce and the flagship dish: Meat on a hot stone. All with excellent size and good value for money. We also shared a salad and a glass of wine, totaling 110 euros. I would highly recommend it to people in the region. It's located at the entrance to the center and is open until 2:30 pm, good for those who arrive late and want to eat something from the region with high quality! They accept dogs!!

Delicious homemade food, nothing better than the "plat du jour" to try authentic cuisine

This restaurant is famous for being the inspiration for Rabbit House in "Is the Order a Rabbit?" The Alsatian cuisine was delicious.
