Unlike most local spots that close in the afternoon, this restaurant stays open all day. The meal was superb, from the savory main courses to the delightful dessert, complemented by flawless service. The setting is a beautifully preserved old building, spotless and charming. We wholeheartedly recommend it! A huge thank you to the entire staff for this wonderful and authentic Alsatian dining experience.

A venerable inn in Colmar's old town. This historic establishment is named after the famous 18th-century writer Pfeffel. The food was excellent, which we enjoyed on the outdoor terrace. A stork perched in the neighboring tree watched us the entire time. The exceptionally friendly service made the evening a truly special occasion. A place you can always go to in Colmar. We'll definitely be back. On April 10, 2026, we visited Pfeffel again. The food was superb, and the young Congolese waiter, Isaak, served us with great warmth. We'll be back.

We were looking for a place to have a late lunch. Most restaurants in Colmar are closing at 2PM but the team at Pfeffel welcomed us with smiles and offered us a delicious meal made of traditional specialties from Alsace. We were a group made of many people from different countries and the staff was able to speak English and Spanish! Great place that I recommend to anyone coming to Colmar to enjoy the city and it’s amazing gastronomy!

The overall experience that we had with Pfeffel was quite nice as the dishes were delicious. The restaurant was cozy and located in an old wooden house. Outdoor seating was available. The female staff, however, was quite rude and not welcoming.

28/03/2026: A quick stop during a trip with my partner, and we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the service and the food, both of which were as charming and enjoyable as the setting itself. A calm and intimate atmosphere, ideal for a candlelit dinner for food lovers! 🍽️😁 Special mention for being open until 4 pm. We'll be back, Baptiste and Léa.
