A wonderful discovery during our holiday stop. The cuisine is generous and delicious, with special mention for the local specialties like pounti and truffade; the cheese platter truly does justice to the Auvergne region. The service is efficient and attentive to customers' needs. Excellent value for money. Thank you for a lovely experience!

Don't be fooled, I only gave 4 stars for the food because it's not haute cuisine, but that's not what you're looking for here. You eat WELL for a REASONABLE price and the service is... FAST! Not to mention the pleasant atmosphere created by the locals (I'm a tourist). On a more practical note - under €100 for a children's menu, two full menus (starter - main course - cheese - dessert - wine and coffee), a starter + main course menu with a bonus dessert and two local digestifs (you're a tourist? Try them!). Honestly, it's worth it. Thanks again for the meal and all the best! 😉

On our way to visit Tournoël Castle, we chose this restaurant. The truffade was very good, and the homemade chocolate mousse was delicious, all at a very reasonable price. The decor was lovely. In short, I recommend it.

A real treat! We called around 11 am to reserve a table. A very warm welcome and excellent quality food. Friday's dish of the day was cod with potatoes – simply the best I've ever had! We were truly well looked after; I highly recommend it.

Excellent value for money with the €18-20 set menu including starter, main course, cheese (unlimited selection), dessert, and a quarter-liter of wine! The young staff are very friendly and helpful, and the service is quick. It doesn't look like much from the street, but it's definitely worth a try. Simple, very good, and very affordable.

30/07/2026: A must-visit in the region for workers, truckers, and tourists alike. Simple, satisfying home-style cooking. Excellent value for money. Fast service. However, it can be a bit noisy with the regulars who feel right at home and share their local stories. Parking is also difficult on the side of a very busy road.
19/06/2026: I made a reservation the day before for two people at 12:15 PM. We arrived at 12:10 PM and were seated. There was a 45-minute wait because priority was given to the many workers (tradespeople, laborers). That's understandable; as a retiree, I can wait. But then, when it came time to order, we were told that this was no longer available, that only that remained from the daily menu, which originally offered several choices. Unsatisfied, we asked to order from the regular menu. We were then told that the chef didn't want to prepare anything extra. In conclusion: It's a canteen where the first arrivals get a "good" meal, and those who arrive later finish the leftovers. It's not an inn, it's a cafeteria.
