What a delightful time!!! We had lunch there as a family on Saturday and we all unanimously agree that we had a wonderful time. The dishes were delicious and generous (very generous indeed!), the welcome and service were impeccable and very attentive. The best part of the day was the magnificent weather and lunch on the terrace, which gave us a real taste of summer. Thank you again and go there!!! Nadine and David

We ate lunch there this Saturday, and everything was delicious—the food was excellent. The portions were truly generous, from appetizer to dessert! I had trouble finishing, but it was a really lovely experience. The welcome and service were just as good as the food; the staff were smiling, helpful, and pleasant. A high chair was provided for our daughter, and the dining room was spacious enough for her to play with between courses. Just remember to book in advance, as this place is very popular!

A romantic dinner for a couple's anniversary. We received a warm welcome from the owner and the two servers, all dressed in matching black shirts and trousers. Our orders were taken quickly and the service was perfectly timed. The food was delicious and very well prepared. The owner gave my wife a special touch with a fragrant gift. Many thanks.

17/05/2026: We had a very good experience at Hippopotamus during our journey. The service was pleasant from start to finish, and despite the crowds, it was very well organized. Special mention goes to Maëlyss, who looked after our table: smiling, attentive, and very professional. We were told she was still in training, but honestly, you hardly notice it because she handles customers so well. It's rare to receive such a warm welcome at a motorway service area, and it deserves to be highlighted. Thank you again for your kindness and good humor; we will gladly return!
