Au Petit Bon Secours sur Conde-Sur-L'Escaut

The food was good overall. It quickly became apparent that the staff wasn't quite on the same page. That said, we had a good meal even though our main course arrived before our aperitifs.

The second time we were in Condé sur Escaut, we ate here for the second time as well. Le Petit Bonsecours is a small Basque restaurant with delicious dishes on the menu. The owner does everything himself and is therefore both cook and waiter. As a result, it can take a little longer for the meals to arrive at the table. But it is well worth the wait. And on top of that, it is dirt cheap. Not a single dish costs more than 20 euros, and for 21 euros you can even get a full three-course menu! Highly recommended!

We ordered an aperitif first and then a lamb stew with rice accompanied by a small bottle of wine. We also had coffee with dessert. The owner is very friendly and the food was very tasty, but we felt there was a bit little of it. We didn't think the wine was anything special either, and the dessert was average. The Picon, however, was good 😜. If you are in the area, it is definitely recommended to go for a meal without high expectations.

Tasty menus. Cozy decor. The drinks were overpriced. No clear bill, which made us feel ripped off. This makes us doubt whether we will return.

A real gem considering the price. The service is a bit slow, but that's probably because the waiter is also the cook. Simple dishes, but really well prepared.

A little place where my grandfather used to stop for a drink; today I came to eat. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Fast service Quality and price were excellent But above all, a real pleasure to eat a good meal. Very welcoming. Friendly place A place I highly recommend.
